About this house rental

The house is modern and bright. It offers a relaxed luxury self catering experience. The house sleeps up to 6 people.

Set on the ground floor is a fully equipped kitchen, with a dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, kettle and toaster. The sitting room offers a generous and comfortable living area. This is complete with relaxed seating, a formal dining table, freesat, wifi, a 32 inch flat screen tv, dvd player and a wireless speaker system for your music. French doors lead from the living area to a fully enclosed garden. There is a wc on this level.

The first floor has three bedrooms. It comprises of a master bedroom with a king size bed and en suite shower room, double bedroom, twin bedroom, and a family bathroom with a shower and bath. All bedrooms are fitted with privacy roller blinds or black out blinds. A cot and high chair are available for younger guests.

We are pleased to offer guests free wifi (wireless internet access) and private parking.

All towels and bed linen and gas/electricity included.

We had a really nice week visiting Blair Drummond, Stirling, Loch Lomond & some of the smaller castles/attractions in the area. It's a very short walk along to a garage where you can pick up basics & a 5 minute drive to the center. All in all a good location to explore the area and loads to see within a 1 hour drive. The cottage was really well equipped with some basics like oil/salt/spices as well as a lovely welcome pack, great selection of cooking equipment in the kitchen & plenty of towels/toilet roll etc. in bathrooms. The living/dining area was spacious, the beds were comfy & the parking was super easy. Amanda was really quick to respond and helpful when we had a couple of queries before checking in. We had a great stay.

Nicely located on the edge of town the 2 of us thoroughly enjoyed our week in this property. Extremely clean and very spacious . It could easily handle 6 people as all 3 rooms are very large. Very large lounge diner . Nice sized kitchen. Upstairs a fine sized family bathroom and the en-suite in the master bedroom was ideal. All in all a great place to be located . But personally I am still studying for instructions with regards to the 4 wheelie bins & the bottle box ( it tickled my humour) Communicating with the host was easy simple and always positive. 5/5 from us around

Surely one of the best holiday homes i ve rented during my holiday in Scotland… the ad is truly is what it is … very beautiful and quite area thus very close to all everyday amenities …. The owner is extremely nice and very helpful and very responsive with all my queries … even found on our arrival ….basic things such as milk ,coffee , bread ,wine ,etc etc definitely a 10/10

Nice Property

Although the property is mid terrace it was very quiet and we never heard anything from the neighbours. It is right on the edge of Callander and it is quite a long walk into Callander itself. The property is spacious and very well equipped and we didn't find it lacking in anything. It's a good base for exploring the Trossachs and Stirling is just a short drive away.

The house was lovely and spacious and a well placed base from which to explore the surrounding area, safari Park around 20 mins away, under an hour to Stirling Castle, even Loch lomond not a long drive from callander. The whole family had a great time and would definitely book again, a big thanks to Amanda for making us feel so welcome and for being so helpful.

We had a fabulous stay at Calasraid! The property was exactly as described and was lovely and clean. Instructions were brilliant, from finding the house to getting in, from information inside the house about the local area to checking out info- it was all brilliant! It is the most well equipped house we have ever stayed in! Kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need and more! Even down to the small things like lots of hangers in the wardrobes (it’s so frustrating usually when holiday rentals only give you about 4 per person) and loads of maps and guide books on the local area!! Communication with Amanda was also fabulous! It all made for a wonderful holiday! We will be back for sure!! Thank you x

Our family of four adults enjoyed this spacious and pristine homely retreat for five nights, making day trips to see the beautiful and peaceful natural scenery in the Trossachs. Amanda was really helpful giving us recommendations to plan our trip and even had a website with lots of useful information, as well as a printed guide and several maps in the house itself. The welcome pack complete with bubbly was a nice surprise (not seen that elsewhere)! As others have said, Amanda has really thought about everything; a fully equipped kitchen (which we used to cook several meals), all the TV-related entertainment you could want (including a PlayStation), modern and tasteful decor with solid furniture throughout, even a round picnic bench in the garden. Even though it's a mid-terrace house we didn't hear either of the neighbours. Callander is good in that it has several restaurants and pubs without being too big, yet close to the scenic spots. We really enjoyed walking at the nearby Bracklinn Falls/Ben A'an/Falls of Leny, boat trip at Loch Katrine and also Dochart Falls/Loch Tay in Killin. The The tour of Deanston distillery in Doune was really interesting. We would most happily stay again if we came back to the Trossachs. Thanks Amanda!

What an amazing house. The house lacks nothing, the minute we walked in we felt right at home. Very comfortable to accommodate a family of six. Amanda is a wonderful host. From the beginning with instructions on how to get to the house, where to buy groceries, nearby restaurants and the nice welcome package.

Calasraid is a wonderful comfortable house with everything you would ever need for your stay. It is within walking distance of local shops and pubs and is in a beautiful part of Scotland. There were 4 adults and 2 children in our party and we all loved the house, local tourist areas and the friendly service we received from the owner Amanda. She was always available to answer any questions we had. hopefully we will be back in the not too distant future.

My family and friends stayed at Calasraid in July 2016 and it was perfect for our holiday. The house was spacious, modern and clean with all the facilities we needed. We have a toddler and the house was great for him - with the garden accessible from the lounge which was a great, safe place for him to play and a highchair, stairgate and travel cot all provided by the owner. The house is in a great location with lots of places to eat round about and when we didn't want to eat out, the kitchen had all the facilities we needed to cook. Both the information provided by the owner in the house as well as in the e-mails sent before our stay was so helpful and made us feel very welcome. Thank you.

Enjoyed Calasraid very much. Went to Callander to celebrate Thanksgiving week with my four twenty-something kids. House never felt cramped, prepared a 15-pound bird, and the house had all of the implements and seasonings to execute the job well. The only difficulty with going to Callander in late November is that the sun comes up after 8am and disappears before 4pm, so life outdoors is limited. And it was cold. Amanda was very helpful and kept in constant touch with me.

We booked this property for a two-week vacation for our group of 4 adults' stay in the Trossacks region of Scotland in mid September--Sept 9th to the morning of Sept 21st, 2015. This part of Scotland is as beautiful as an part of the world I have yet seen. The weather might have been a bit on the wet side at times, but we were never "rained-out" for more that an hour or two during any of the days of our stay. The lodging is in the town of Callander which has significant charm all its own. And the people of the town are standouts for their engaging friendliness, warmth and humor. Calasraid, the name given to the property at which we stayed, is owned and managed by Amanda Hollis. Ms. Hollis provided a clean, modern 3-bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home on the edge of Callander with direct access to walking paths and sidewalks that lead to close at hand shopping even if you don't have a car at your disposal. The kitchen was well appointed and supplied and the 4 of us prepared just about all of our breakfasts and dinners there--by the way, twice a week a driver and van come to Callander with the freshest fish I have ever had. Amanda was very helpful in many ways. She was always available either by phone or email; we never had any difficulty reaching her when we needed information or supplies. She arranges for a mid-week cleaning as well working it around the guests' schedules. She graciously resolved all concerns of her lodgers--she even found a camera that had been left behind, got in touch with me for shipping instructions and sent it off to me within a day or two. I try to avoid hyperbole but this is one of the best vacations experiences in terms of people, locale and especially our host that I have personally ever had. We spent half term in this fantastic house. It was spotlessly clean, really spacious, comfortable and beautifully appointed. It had everything we needed for self catering with more in relation to kitchen equipment, entertainment options was lovely and warm to come back to after a long day trek in thr rain.The location is perfect if you want to explore the stunning landscape and enjoy some great food at excellent local restaurants.For kids there was plenty to entertain them all within an easy drive. Amanda and Laura could not have not have been more helpful and welcoming. I will be recommending to friends and would have no hesitation in renting tgis lovely house again.

I stayed at calasraid for a few days with 2 friends, the house is beautiful, it is very modern and is beautifully decorated. The house is big and very comfortable with everything you could ever need. We went and explored the beautiful sights and the surrounding area. It is breathtaking. Lovely places to visit and lovely restaurants all very close by. I will be visiting again soon with my family. We can't wait. X

I recently stayed at this lovely decorated house and was very impressed. Could not find any faults, it was decorated to a very high standard and spotless. The bed was comfy and the house is fully equipped with everything you would need. There were 5 adults in our party and we found it very spacious. Callander is a lovely town to visit with lots of attractions and nice shops and eating places. There is the safari park, a farm park, Go Kids and a swimming pool also local 4 kids so i have already planned my next trip in the summer with the kids this time. Whether you are a couple looking for a romantic getaway or a family looking for a scenic fun-filled holiday j would highly recommend it. There are plenty of bakers and food shops close, including tesco express or the co-op to stock up on food and drink. If you would rather not cook there are take-away shops with every kind of food or even better lots of eating out places too. I would recommend taking a run up to the lake of monteith for lunch as it was lovely. Loch Katrine is also a nice place to go and have a look around and maybe even go round on the boat. I would highly recommend this property and its stunning surroundings.
