About this cottage rental
A Ray of sunshine is located in the charming, gated community of Carillon Beach. Only minutes from 30A. After visiting Carillon Beach for over 7 years, we loved it so much, we purchased this home in March of 2018! Our house sits just steps from beach walkover 2.
There is about a mile stretch of white sugar sand and beautiful ocean. I find myself taking pictures every single trip. We have never gotten over what a beautiful place this is!
Our home has NO stairs. The front porch is welcoming and the favorite place to hang. The master opens to the back deck which overlooks our private pool. The pool can be heated in the cooler months. You'll see this home is ideal for families with kids, both young and older.
We have 3 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms have queen beds; 3rd has 2 sets of bunk beds with full mattresses on bottom bunks. Each bedroom has its own full bath room. Sleeps 8 to 10 people. The master bedroom has access to private outdoor shower with hot and cold running water, which is a great treat after a day at the beach.
Carillon is a quiet gated community with paved roads and sidewalks that create a safe place for children and families to ride bikes and walk to activities. There are 3 pools available for your use in the community; a lakeside pool, beachside and parkside pool. The Bellview Park has a playground , tennis courts, basketball court and an open grassy area.
Carillon has a cute, quaint town center. During the summer you can enjoy outdoor concerts on the green and various children's activities. There is also a chapel and a gift shop that rents bikes, paddle boards and kayaks in town center. There are 2 restaurants in this area.
Our home is also walking distance to Lake Powell, a brackish water lake, that you can do every water activity you can think of including jet skiing, and boating.
Our home comes with a beach chair service, which includes 2 chaise lounge chairs and a large beach umbrella. Beach chair service runs March 15 to October 15 of each year.
Carillon is located 5 minutes by car from the beginning of the famous stretch of highway, 30A
Conveniently located 1/4 mile from 2 grocery stores: Publix and Winn Dixie
Please Note: Home is SMOKE FREE and NO PETS ALLOWED. There is an age restriction and number of occupants restriction. Reservations not accepted for students or singles under age of 25.

We absolutely fell in love with this house and the neighborhood, it was so charming, peaceful, and perfect for families. The beach was just a short walk away, and the private pool made it feel like a true getaway. We rented bikes and would ride over for ice cream in the evenings, which made it even more special. We even had an issue that was our fault and the owner was so kind and accommodating. Already looking forward to booking it again!

Ray of Sunshine was perfect for our family of 6. The kids loved the bunk room. It was a safe home with small children thanks to no stairs and the gated pool. We highly recommend to families with small kids.

Steve is a wonderful host! Very quick to answer questions and very kind. The house was the perfect location and fit our family of four plus grandma comfortably. The pool was a big hit for our 2 year old and 9 year old boys. Would stay again and highly recommend!
