Welcome to our Cranesville Rental (Back in Time) Quiet and Secluded Farm House built in 1889 and refinished with reclaimed wood. Nestled in the beautiful mountains of Preston County, West Virginia is the tiny community of Cranesville - just 15 minutes from Deep Creek Lake. Our lovely country home will slow down your hectic pace or liven up your sense of adventure.
From bird watching to sightseeing and then relaxing around the fire. Secluded and peaceful Cranesville is the place to be!
Our newly renovated Farm House built in 1889 provides accommodations for 6 with 3 Queen size Bedrooms with linens provided, soft pillows and extra blankets, 2 full bathrooms,The upstairs bath has a walk in shower with claw foot tub. Down stairs bath has a walk in shower, washer and dryer, living room, full kitchen with Refrigerator, Stove, Microwave, Toaster, Coffee Maker, Dishes, Silverware, Cookware , and bar area. The bar has seating for 4, pub table has seating for 4. Kitchen table has seating for 6. The wrap around porch also has seating for 5. On the Back deck is 6 person Hot Tub. Charcoal Grill, Picnic table for 6. There is a fire pit. We have firewood available for 5.00 a crate. If you let us know ahead of time we will have it at the cabin when you arrive.
Bring your fishing poles! We have 2 catch and release ponds with nice big bass, catfish, blue gill, frogs and tadpoles. We even see a turtle every now and then. Three pair of Canadian Geese come every Spring to lay there eggs and raise there goslings. Don't get to close they might send you running. A back yard fire pit is sure to be a place where memories are made, making smores and catching up with those who mean the most. Unwind and relax in the steamy hot tub after a day of fun and enjoy the peaceful views of our farm.

We met Laura when we pulled up, she is very nice and so glad she took us in the cabin to talk about it and all that has been done to update the cabin to have it look and feel the way it does. It was so pretty, inviting and relaxing. A very quiet time spent together which is what we both needed and wanted. If you love the quiet and nature/outdoors this is a wonderful cabin to rent for a couple or even a family or group of friends. We would definitely go back without hesitation.

We took and adult trip for my husbands birthday with friends. Couldn’t have picked a better place to stay house was very clean and cozy. Perfect for a weekend getaway!

Beautiful home with authentic feeling. There were no corners cut when it came to style and design. Plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out but several gathering areas to fit any mood. Loved every minute of our stay. Ending every night in the hot tub was the perfect hallmark moment we needed to bring everything together.

We had an amazing stay here at this beautiful home! Laura was very fast when responding to questions or concerns we had. She was super nice throughout our stay. This place is peaceful, quiet, and overall pretty clean. Everything was perfect. Thank you, Laura, for your hospitality!
