About this villa rental
Villa Roxani is a hospitable, traditional 2-bedroom villa with a private pool in the peaceful village of Meskla, an area of very beautiful landscape, ideal for nature lovers and guests looking for a peaceful environment.
The ground floor Villa has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and it can accommodate up to 6 guests. A private courtyard with lovely land views and a barbecue corner are provided. Villa Roxani is located 20 km from the town of Chania and 16 km from the nearest sandy beach of Platanias. The entrance of the famous Samaria Gorge is 32 km away.
A spacious living room area with a satellite tv with Netflix and a fully equipped kitchen is provided in the entrance of the villa. One bedroom with a double bed is offered a few steps above the living room. One bedroom with a double bed, a single bed and a sofa bed is provided next to the living room. A common bathroom with a hydro-massage bathtub and led lighting and a smaller shower bathroom are also available.
The lovely courtyard of the villa offers a private pool of about 18 sq m with sun loungers, an outdoor kitchen with barbecue, wood oven and an outdoor dining area. Free wireless internet, air condition units in both bedrooms and physical cooling is provided by the traditional type of the house (big walls), making the temperature up to 25 Celsius during daytime during summer. Hot water by solar energy, washing machine, iron and hairdryer are also offered.
Meskla is a historical village of Crete, which is ideal for guests who would like to explore the Cretan nature and local cuisine. You can walk along the small but impressive gorge of Meskla/Sarakina and have a lovely excursion on foot. It is an easy hiking (about 2 km) but is a real natural sculpture, literally hidden in a ravine with some huge cypress and plane trees. There are a few more natural paths near the village, where you can enjoy trekking, hiking and canyoning. A few mini markets and taverns with Cretan cuisine and pure ingredients can be found in short walking distance.

I’m so glad that I found this place when we searched the internet for places to stay, in the beginning of this year. Our expectations were high, due to the beautiful pictures in the add, but never could we believe that it could be better. But it was!
My god, all four of us, 11 year old son, 17 year old doughter, me and my husband 48-50, we just stood with our mouths wide open and was like ”what!? Is this for real??” And it was. Perfection it was.
We work as teachers, and this was Exactly the kind of place we needed to come to, for letting our brains rest - totally. The house, the nature and all the environment. The quitness, only bird song for the ears.
This was the best week we’ve ever had on a vacation. For our hearts, minds and souls.
