San Martino agli Ulivi is the result of a long and accurate renovation of the family estate. On one of the stones of the old barn you can see a date inscribed: 1895; however the original core of the house - which without foundations lays on the flank of the hill - dates back to the 1600. .

The renovation aimed to conciliate the preservation of the original structure with the innovative techniques for sustainable constructions to protect the environment and to reduce energy consumption. Therefore, matching to the typical cotto floors, in-sight beams ceilings and bricks, you will find the photovoltaic system and solar panels, thermal and soundproof cladding for the inner walls, certified window and door fixtures.

The estate graciously accommodates 10 guests in 5 beautifully appointed bedrooms; On the ground level, a large and welcoming living area that is the perfect place to gather together.The property is tastefully furnished and completed by the modern comforts: pyroceram induction hobs, satellite TVs, air-conditioning system, Wi-Fi internet connection. .

The raised position of the house offers a wonderful view of the entire Val di Chiana, however especially from the swimming pool, situated in panoramic position on a natural terrace, the gaze wanders up to Montepulciano, the shape of the Monte Amiata and to the shores of the Trasimeno Lake: a landscape that colours in red at sunset in the pleasant summer nights. In order to enjoy their relaxing moments and to eat in the open air, guests have on their disposal two nice gazebos in wrought iron, one located in front of the house and the other one made next to the pool. The old wood-burning oven can be used also as a BBQ. The adjacent annex is for owners' exclusive disposal, who may occasionally live there for short periods, leaving in any case the swimming pool at guests' exclusive disposal. The farmhouse is situated few km away from the magnificent Etruscan town of Cortona: strategic position in order to be able to visit the picturesque art villages and towns in Tuscany and Umbria and is particularly suitable for those who love mountain biking and trekking.
