Le Bois Plage En Re: house / villa - 7 rooms - 10/12 persons

Wonderful location. A fabulous beach with big waves and warm water just outside the door. A daily market within walking distance. Several good restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful patio with flowering shrubs. The unheated pool was a bit cool and the pool cleaning robot wasn't working, but the kids loved playing in it on all the sunny days. The house was roomy and comfortable. There were a few maintenance issues that needed improvement, which we have notified the owners about. We were surprised to find there were no basic supplies for our use, like dish soap, a few laundry pods, toilet paper, toilet cleaner, or salt and pepper. They don't come in small quantities at the store, so we had to cart home a lot of extra stuff. But all in all, a good spot for a family vacation.

Very handy for town and beach

Ideal location, easy walking distance to the beach and village. The pool was fantastic. The outside space was great but we could have done with more shade, it’s nearly all in full sun all day. The house was well equipped and the layout good for sharing families. There were no plastic dinking cups, plates or bowls for kids which wasn’t ideal.

The property lists it has a BBQ, it does NOT!It has a mobile hotplate, not the same thing! This was very important to us and we would have looked for a different house if we had known. In the third bedroom there were 3 ant traps... a bit of a clue! for the last 3 days of our holiday my son and his girlfriend had to sleep on the sofas in the living room due to masses of Flying Ants firstly in the bathroom and then in the bedroom , ants crawling in the bed ..disgusting!!(we have photographic proof)I know the weather was unusually hot but it wouldn't take much to provide a fan for each bedroom- it was like sleeping in a sauna - everyone had wet pillows which cannot be hygienic at all! The guests after us would have had damp pillows..yuk!For a little cost , fans would have been a great comfort! On the last day 3 of us got extremely sore throats , we are convinced from the pool, the pump came on at 08.00 every day , Sylvie seemed to think it should have been on all day!All things considered we would probably not book this house again.
