Unique & Comfy with AC near Mercado Medellin

Location and two bedrooms.

Keys were in another suburb. Really added to our frustration to finally get the keys, walk back to the apartment and then have zero information on which one was ours ? We just wanted to wash our clothes after a 24hr flying day, heat some food and sleep. This was the beginning of our disappointment as many things listed weren't there. ( microwave & washing machine ... t.vs didn't work). On our last day we found a QR code for the washing machine/gas cooker instructions,that wasnt in the apartment but the QR didn't work either. The apartment is full of trinkets and books, why not put the instructions in a pamphlet to read. Really surprised that this is listed in Booking.com felt more like an Airbnb. I did not want to constantly contact the owner for instructions. Hence using Booking.com. The shower must be noted. It really needs a new shower head. It was terrible, barely a spray.

Great location a block from the Medellin Market and in Roma Norte. Back unit so a bit less street noise The porter/doorman (Martin) was extremely helpful Kitchen waa well equipped and we were able to do some significant cooking while we were there (no microwave but yes pressure cooker) Unit was decorated thoughtfully and beautifully. When we stepped into the apartment we thought we had a 10.

It is diffiicult to write this. We know this is someone's liveihood. We have been traveling for more than a decade and have written more than 200 reviews. We rely on others' reviews to help us choose our lodging. It is surprising how reviews did not flag the issues we experienced. Cleaniless was hit or miss. The kitchen and bathroom floors were less than adequate. We had to clean the inside of the refrigerator (shelves were very sticky and bins dirty), and rewash some of the dishes before using. The walls were dingy and stained in spots. Bedding and towels were very clean. One major cleaniness issue is the shower which is designed with rocks and wood platform to mimic an outdoor shower. The look is lovely, but impractical. The stones were not cleaned and appeared soiled (not sure how you could clean them without removing all of them) and there was a large clump of reddish brown hair when we arrived that had not been cleaned out. We are not sure if owners are aware of the situation. We reached out after our stay at the contacts we had for them and sent details and photos but never heard back. We made a decision not to contact the owners while we were in the unit because we did not want to be distrubed during our stay. It's a shame, it is a beautiful apartment and great location and with a little more attention this unit would have been perfect. We hope the situation is rectified for future visitors. It is a city apartment in a very urban neighborhood and there was a lot of noise from other apartments and nearby buildings (including music). Ear plugs worked well. We found the bed in the master bedroom comfortable in terms of size but too firm for us. FYI, it is three floor walk up to the apartment, which we knew. Great location, very cute apartment, comfortable bed with peace and quiet in a busy area.

There was no hair dryer.

Lovely place, lovely location and lovely staff.

The dogs from the neighbors bark quite a lot.
