About this house rental
Authentic rustic log cabin on 8-Point Lake in Michigan with 100 feet of lake frontage. Enjoy the all sports lake and great swimming in the clear sandy bottom lake just steps away. View the beautiful Fall colors or go golfing on many golf courses near by. Eight Point Lake includes a public accessible boat launch and is stocked with fish each year. We also have a dock to tie up your boat. In summer go on the biking/hiking trail near by or ride your bike or 4-wheeler around the lake. Watch the beautiful Michigan sunsets from a cozy blaze in the fireplace or at the fire pit by the water's edge. It's vacation time!
Beautiful lake views can be seen from the entire front of the cottage. Can sleep up to 8 people between 3 bedrooms; 1 bedroom with Queen bed on the first floor; Upstairs loft has 1 BR with queen; 1 BR with 2 twins; 2 twins in common area. There is 1 bath on the main floor with a shower. Updated kitchen with supplies. The historical log cabin includes a working stone fireplace in the great room.
We are approximately a 2 mile bike ride to the Pere Marquette Rail Trail that runs from Midland to Baldwin, MI. You can also ride your bike or walk around the entire lake. There are restaurants nearby along with businesses to buy groceries and necessities. A local produce stand is also available during the growing season.
We have many golf courses in the area including the challenging Eagle Glen GC only 10 minutes away. Mt. Pleasant is only 30 miles south where there are even more golf courses, restaurants and other activities. It also contains the Soaring Eagle Casino and all the events that are associated with it. Central Michigan University is also a source of entertainment with scheduled events through out the year. Clare is 20 minutes away for more restaurants, bakeries and other small town shopping locations. The owners live next door if you have any questions.
