About this house rental
Delightful village house in the tiny wine growing village of Quintillan nestled in the Corbière Hills, just 7 km outside Cascastel des Corbières.
One of the 'Lost Villages of the Corbières', it has just 66 permanent inhabitants, although in summer this swells to over 100 as holidaymakers come to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are no shops in the village, so please make sure you bring what you need with you
The house is fully equipped for up to 4 adults and 2 children sleeping in 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a double bed and single bed or bunk beds. There is an open plan living area with feature fireplace, shower room and utility room with 2nd toilet, washing machine and dishwasher.
The large terrace is partly shaded in summer and is fully furnished to take full advantage of the outdoor lifestyle of the area,
The views from the house are stunning as it overlooks the valley where the River Berre has its source.
It's a great area for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers, with miles of marked walks through the wooded hills.
It's also a great place for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday, with easy access to all amenities in nearby towns, and the fantastic Mediterranean beaches less than an hour's drive away.
There is a summer Street Restaurant serving Tapas, sharing plates, drinks and snacks only a minute's walk from the house. There you can also order take away food and buy wine from the Caveau. They do regular themed evenings as well, and together with the occasional village fete, this is a great way to meet some of the locals.

Petit village très typique, habitants très souriants, bon acceuil.
Maison typique au coeur du village, agréable à vivre.Bon accueil des propriétaires.
Nombreux chemins de randonnée au départ de la maison.
Très beaux paysages d'Automne dans la région.

Propriété très calme, tout équipée et village charmant. Nous avons pu nous ressourcer et profiter des nombreuses activités du coin. Propriétaires très gentils et disponibles.

Une maison de village sympathique qui dispose de tout le confort nécessaire... Ensemble propre, les lits sont faits à l'arrivée, et l'essentiel est déjà présent (papier toilette, linge de maison, produits ménagers, quelques ingrédients basiques de cuisine) et les chambres disposent de ventilateurs. Enfin, cerise sur le gâteau, une bouteille de Corbières avec quelques olives nous accueillent. On se sent déjà en vacances ! La petite terrasse est assez a l'abri du vent et des regards, et possède un barbecue. Nous avons apprécié de séjourner dans ce lieu.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au mois de mai. La région est superbe et le gite est bien équipé. Il est très propre et très calme. Pour qui veut se reposer et se tenir loin des hordes touristiques, l'endroit est magique. Merci à Jill et son épouse qui sont accueillants et nous ont même laissé un petit panier de bienvenu avec leurs vins délicieux, olives et café; Prévoir cependant le ravitaillement car les supermarchés et boulangeries sont un peu loin. Mais c'est ce qui fait aussi le charme de ce "petit bout du monde". Anne et Yves
