Nice hotel, thoughtful restoration, good spa and very nice spa staff

Given the price we paid was well above the average some areas for improvement 1. Staff in the breakfast service seem very annoyed when asked for a coffee or questions about the menu - they were not as attentive as in most Mexico and somewhat bothered to provide napkins, cutlery or help with simple questions during the breakfast service 2. They did not take the credit card at check in - platinum card was handed to them - and had challenges with the billing and payment system - they kept chasing every bill as if it was a 2 star hotel versus just managing the payment in smarter way - we had a breakfast waiter arrived to the pool seeking a bill on day 2 3. Very very very expensive breakfast for Mexico. Over $40 for a couple is crazy 4. The pool opens late and closes early - the service in the pools seems as challenging as the breakfast service 5. Construction everywhere not the most luxury experience 6. Main rooms are very dark - barely get to see light

I loved the nature and rooms spread out.

The entry to property is really bad, alot of billboards before arriving at entrance of property. Also no umbrella’s at pool.

Excellent service, clean rooms, the photos matched the experience and plenty of amenities. The team was very friendly and I wish we could tell them again thank you.

Nice and comfortable rooms. However, our first room had a musty smell.

Our key advice to management is not to mix two things: Either organize wedding parties or be a 5-star hotel that welcomes guests who do not choose to party and choose peace and quiet as the Hacienda communicates on their website. A crowd of 170 partying guests flooded the hotel and took away all the peace and quiet. During our dinner on the restaurant's beautiful rustic terrace, we were suddenly surrounded by a standing reception and could no longer hold a conversation. The next day, the beautiful swimming pool was transformed into a mega pool party. So much for our hopes of enjoying a peaceful three days at this hacienda. We learned from the otherwise very friendly staff that many parties are organized on the estate, involving the hotel guests and the hustle and bustle of these parties...
