About this cottage rental
'La Grande Époque' is one of four beautifully restored 18th century stone gîtes at 'Belle Vue', arranged around a central courtyard.
This cottage sleeps up to six. There is one double bedroom with en-suite washroom and one bedroom with twin beds downstairs, plus one double bedroom upstairs.
Downstairs, the large main room has a dining area, sofa and stone fireplace with wood burning stove. The kitchen area has a large range of fitted units, washing machine, dishwasher, gas cooker, double sink, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, toaster and electric kettle.
The open plan staircase leads to the mezzanine, which has seating, British Freeview TV, DVD player, CD player and the separate upstairs double bedroom.
The cottage has tiled floors, exposed beams, shower room with Italian shower (wet room),and many exposed stone walls. Cots, high chairs and stair gates are available for young families.
'Belle Vue' has a large sun terrace with a 12x5m heated swimming pool (shared between the 4 gites onsite) and an 8 person jacuzzi, fully fenced for your safety. The garden has plenty of space to relax and play, plus we have a large selection of bikes for your free use.
Vendée is renowned for its cycle tracks and there are several close by. There is also a canal 100 metres away ideal for fishing.
Our micro-climate makes this area one of the sunniest parts of France, and is therefore suitable for holidays at any time of the year.
The gîte has an official 3* rating from the French Tourist Office.
Please note that bed linen, towels and end of stay cleaning are not included, but can be provided as an optional service if required.

We loved our stay this summer. The accommodation is a great size. The only thing that would have been a bit nicer is the outside space, which overlooked parked cars, but that didn’t ruin our enjoyment.
The hosts were always on hand and super helpful - particularly when an emergency dental appointment was needed!
It is a lovely area and I’d recommend this property.

We had a lovely stay here ....Carine, Jon and their adorable family are the new owners of this 4 gite complex....we stayed in the Grande Epoque which is listed for 4-6 people but comfortably 4 adults 2 children.....a lovely little gite but a little tired in places, great, modern shower room but tbh the kitchen area could do with a lift and the biggest problem was the wifi as its almost imposible to get signal inside the gite....the pool, hot tub and surrounding garden areas are great and the pool is well placed to have maximum sunshine from morning to early evening...overall it has all you need for a comfortable stay and we would definately return there - we wish Carine and Jon much happiness in their new venture and are confident that they will make a huge success once they overcome the initial teething problems
