Riad Chocolat

It was gorgeous and easy to find. The roof terrace was beautiful.

My brother was a bit leery of all the cats and we didn’t pet them as we were afraid of fleas.

Wow effect by entering the property and visiting the rooms and the terasse. Beautiful, large and clean rooms, gorgeous terrasse, tasty food, and friendly & helpful staff and owner (organised airport transfer, useful tips for restaurants and souks). We enjoyed our stay very much, in the mornings, evenings and chilling in the afternoon. ATM and shops for water around the corner. Located in the outskirts of the medina. Despite the first impression one may get from the Medina and the area, we felt safe in the area and walking to the central souks (about 1-1.5 km, 15 minutes), also nights at 10pm, local people are friendly and didn't really care about us.

The Riad was just so beautiful. So calm and relaxing compared to the stress of the city. The host has been always so nice to us and the terrace is really nice.

The location is not in the city center. You need to be ready to walk a little.

The roof top garden

The room was tiny with no where to sit. Therefore the roof top garden was lovely and important for us. A few days of our stay the roof top garden furniture was covered because staff were concerned it ‘might’ rain - when there was no rain. We were all day on an excursion. It did rain heavily that day with floods. We arrived back to Riad late, soaked, hungry and tired. We asked for some food, even just bread, we were advised of a food delivery app. We had said we were struggling to get any WiFi in the riad & therefore couldn’t get the app working. (When we returned to uk my partners bank had a fraudulent transaction from this app) we went to bed without eating. Reluctance to order us taxi’s when we asked - especially to airport; we therefore struggled in the very busy streets with suitcase, crossing trying to hail a taxi. When we arrived in Marrakesh we’d arranged for the riad to send a car to pick us up, it wasn’t there, we waited a looked everywhere and had to find a taxi rank. We booked this riad attracted to the rooftop terrace (which for half the stay we were unable to use) and the rave reviews of how helpful they were, we did not have this experience.
