This was a great short family break. We had lots of fun bit st the theme park and in York.

The property was quiet and close to most of the leisure facilities. A short walk to the theme park was very quiet at this time of year (oct).

The outdoor furniture was unsuitable for sitting on due to dampness. The caravan had layers of dust on some surfaces and some of the appliances were a bit dated.

Nice enough for a few nights.

The caravan is well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. It was clean in the sense that the surfaces, plates and cupboards etc were clean. I liked that there was plastic cutlery for the kids, washing up liquid and a cloth left. Bathrooms also very clean and the shower was good. Heating all worked which is just aswell as it was a bit chilly over night. The site itself is nice and quiet, very family friendly and the owner was communicative in organising our stay so I did feel like i knew where i was going, how to get access etc. The information provided was excellent and the owner was responsive.

I did have an issue with the carpet and sofa in the living room which looked filthy. So much so that i just couldn’t relax properly in the evening and really put me off sitting in the lounge area. A carpet shampoo could easily have made this better and would have made the stay a lot more comfortable. I also don’t like the feeling that everything was very dated and past its best; sheets on the bed, pillows, the plates, the accessories dotted about… it maybe just needs a little thought about how to bring it into 2025. Charging £20 per person for a towel bundle felt excessive; wouldn’t mind £10 as i know it’s a hassle to clean them but £20 was over the top. And charges for things like a high chair/ cot… we have stayed on other caravans where all of this was provided. Also, maybe a bar of soap and some tea bags to get you started would be a nice touch? I am aware that there’s costs involved in doing this but it would feel a little more welcoming. We discovered on day 2 that there were no batteries in the fire alarm and despite efforts to replace, this didn’t happen. The owner did try to remedy this when we realised but it didn’t get resolved the week we were there. Batteries left at the door would have been fine.

Relaxing, enjoyable, comfortable

The location was perfect so quite and away from the main hustle and bustle, looked on to grass and trees. Caravan had so many nice touches that made it feel homely like games, dvds and a sand pit on the patio for the kids.

I think everything here was really good and had absolutely everything we needed and more. If I had to pick 1 thing would probably just be the addition of a pizza over tray but this is just being nit picky as we managed using the trays.

Me and my family had a lovely stay and would definitely return.

Great facilities for a family. Clean, cosy and everything you could ask for. Beds were comfortable. Karen and Mike are only a message away for any enquires you may have and they get back to you as soon as possible which I found really helpful.

We had no issues other than the caravan was really cold in the morning getting up. But wasn’t to much of an issues as we were out early in the morning.

Great getaway with everything easy to get to

Excellent host who made everything so easy for us as a family just to get in and settle down. Caravan was great, with everything you'd expect to see and need for a short break away. Would highly recommend, and will be going back again when we have the chance. Park was easy walking distance, as was the swimming pool.

Wi-fi and internet in general is a little spotty around the caravan site. Not really an issue for us, but if you're expecting to take a tablet to watch some netflix etc. on an evening you might struggle. Better off taking a kindle/books/boardgames instead!

Plenty entertainment for kids ,swimming pool was excellent .overall layout of park. Rides for kids were good, pirates they loved this and also submarine

Eating places ,could have more of a selection after Park shuts for kids. Bit of walk to rides needs a wee train going round every half hour?.

Caravan was clean and comfortable, nicely decorated. We were located in 59 Cedarwood so far enough away from the main park for it to be quiet but still only a 5/10 minute walk from the action. The caravan had most of the amenities we needed for cooking. Good communication with the owners when needed.

The kitchen could use a colander for draining but we got by with the pot lids. One of the sets of strip lighting had fallen down on the window wall at terrace and was hanging down. The door looks as though it’s hanging down a bit at the top (no issue using or locking the door though)

I wish the beds had been made up - I understand it may be because not all bedding is required by visiting guests, but it will always feel a little disappointing, I think, that we have to make up the beds on arrival.

Brilliant fun short stay in a fab caravan!

Everywhere in&outside caravan was very clean & tidy, very well looked after,flowers outside &decorations inside lovely touch. Main double bed ensuite was spacious&very comfy. Lounge and dining kitchen were very spacious&comfy. Welcome package was very welcomed,thank you! Parking space & area outside caravan was great including picnic bench&washing line. Facilities inside caravan were great, cooker,microwave,coffee maker,toaster,fridge freezer. TV had brilliant options. Caravan in Beech Grove nice, quiet area, near to park entrance Great location. Brilliant staff at KMH Caravans, Madge&Melvin Scooter Hire, Check In&First Aid for Fast Pass Great supermarket. Brilliant Zoo & rides! Fab Bird Show&staff! Coopland Bakery was the best place to eat Lovely staff in Coopland Bakery,American Diner&Ben&Jerry's Brilliant animal talks. Most of staff really do their best,it was very appreciated! Brilliant weather!🌞

Sleeping not great for disabled traveller as rest of beds were only cabin size,not a full single bed. Charging the scooter was not very secure,had to go through open window,so left open all night. The sink in ensuite was barely good for washing hands nothing else,v small. The cupboard in one of bedrooms was in worst place,not enough room for it,had to be careful not to hurt yourself on it. Check in process not best to get mandatory passes, long queues with no cover,highly recommend booking through Flamingo Land NOT Booking.com. Bad smell in First Aid! Having to queue in First Aid daily to get Fast Passes for Disabled,even staff said it was ridiculous, needs a separate place to do that. The rough people at Park, the noise they make late at night&the litter they leave,spoils it for rest of us! Felt sorry for the fab staff at Flamingo Land! Wrestling show! REALLY needs to have cover in most areas where queues are, you get roasted if it's hot & drenched if it raining Park really does need updating, been there since 1960's, so lots of places & rides difficult for Disabled access.

We had an amazing time at Flamingo Land.

The caravan is very spacious and comfortable. Everything you need and more. We loved the coffee machine costa cappuccino in the morning :) The caravan was spotless and when we arrived there was milk, bread and a variety of teas, coffee and hot chocolate. The Bedrooms were a good size and beds comfortable. The location was perfect close to all the amenities. overall EXCELLENT.
