About this house rental
Two-storey modern villa with its own private pool, located in the pretty village of Trebes on the Canal du Midi. A short short walk from the house brings you to the canal-side bars and restaurants at the canal-side in Trebes. Only a ten minute drive from the town of Carcassonne and the Cité heritage site. The house and pool are for your use only. Three bedrooms, large open plan dining/sitting room, well equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower/ bath, and separate second toilet. Suitable for family up to four adults and two children. (Two doubles and one twin room suitable for children). Ample seating and dining areas. TV and free internet access. Patios to front and back for those long Summer evening barbecues. Lovely private pool, outdoor furniture, coal-barbecue, sun-loungers. Short drive to local supermarkets. Excellent location for visiting Carcassonne and beautiful Languedoc countryside.

House was as described. Quiet area with lots to explore. Car essential. Air conditioning would be a nice addition for future visitors as the weather was very hot during our stay. All in all very good.

Being familiar with the beautiful town of Trèbes and the surrounding area, this was an easy choice of holiday home for us and we weren't disappointed. The house is easily big enough to accommodate 6 people comfortably and everything was clean and fresh. it's an easy walk into the town where you can sit by the canal du Midi and enjoy wonderful local food, and the local boulangerie is close enough for fresh bread and croissant every morning. The only small criticism we had was that the new fridge freezer is not big enough or powerful enough to deal with the high summer temperatures . That aside we would like to thank Maura and Kevin for letting their beautiful home in the sun and wouldn't hesitate to return for another stay.

Relaxing, with good food in Trèbes and Carcasonne and plenty of history

The villa suffers from annoying maintenance issues such as a warped gate which is impossible to close and lock and a strong smell of drains in a bedroom.
The kitchen area had only received a quick wipe and most dishes and utensils were covered in grime, we ran two full dishwashers to clean what we needed for the week and wiped the shelves.
One of the sun lounger is broken and a lounger mattress has a deep tear.
We felt that the poor quality of fixings and amenities was letting the villa down, what a shame!
