About this cottage rental

Fully updated comfortable and cosy, self catering holiday cottage. Conveniently situated at Treglyn Farm near to St Minver, Rock, Polzeath and Padstow, with easy access to all of the popular tourist destinations and attractions in Cornwall.

The cottage is set in large, well kept communal gardens with plenty of space, as well as a private, enclosed garden to enjoy the evening sun.

We are tucked away down a lane and set back from the road that links Wadebridge to Polzeath, Rock and the coast beyond, enjoying splendid views over the Camel Estuary and Bodmin Moor.

Glen Valley Cottage has been fully updated and refurbished to provide a relaxing home from home holiday experience.

No smoking in the cottage please. Free wifi included.

Changeover day is a Saturday. Some flexibility in low season.

Well behaved dogs are very welcome, but will need to be kept on a lead in the communal grounds, however, we have an enclosed back garden where dogs can be let off the lead and you can enjoy the afternoon and evening sun.

Tesco and other supermarkets deliver to the cottage, just book your slot early in peak season!

There is a bank of high speed EV charging points in Wadebridge, approx 5 miles from the cottage..

The property is in a quiet and peaceful location. It's a great base for exploring the area, but you will need a car. It is a 5 min drive from Rock where there's a shop, bakery, pub, takeaway pizza, small brewery, and fish and chips. The property has been nicely renovated. Everything has been thought of to make your stay comfortable. There's a hosepipe at the back which is great for cleaning up after a day at the beach. There's a storage chest full of buckets and spaces, body boards, outdoor games etc which my children loved. The kitchen is well stocked with all the equipment you'd need. There isn't a dishwasher but there is a washing machine, which we found really useful. We also appreciated all the storage in the bedrooms for clothes, which can sometimes be lacking in holiday lets. Karla was very quick to respond to any questions.We recommend this cottage if you are looking for a peaceful, comfortable base to explore the local area.

A lovely cottage in a really peaceful area. Great access to the beaches of Rock & Polzeath in particular as well as plenty of others. Polzeath being our family favourite due to the waves.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the cottage & would love to stay again in the future.

This is a great property in a very quiet area. It was perfect for us with all the amenities you need and we really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was in a great location too. Brilliant grounds and although we didn't end up taking our dog , it would have been ideal for her.

Lovely and cozy cottage with a beautiful garden. Perfectly located. Eventhough most of the time it wasn't beach weather, there were lots of beautiful places to visit (Minack Theater, St Nectans Glen Waterfall, Port Isaac, Prideaux). As soon as it was sunny the rock beach, particulary for dogs, was the place to go. Also did the sea Safari and saw dolphins. If your looking for a great place to have breakfast: Chapel Cafe, Port Isaac To watch the sunset while eating you should go to the beach hut.

We had a lovely restful holiday at Glen Valley Cottage. We had everything there to meet our needs and we were able to go back at the end of the day and put our feet up and relax. There are lots of places to see some close and some further afield but never too long a drive. The fantastic weather we had was the icing on the cake. We would happily recommend Glen Valley Cottage.

Just returned from a lovely stay at Glen Valley Cottage. From the minute we entered we felt at home. Beautifully clean and comfortable. Jackie (caretaker) had done a great job with cleanliness. Karla sent a lovely email a few days before we arrived which was informative yet also personal and friendly (thank you Karla). Beautiful grounds to look out on, only a very short track from the main road so no problems and a great place for exploring. Totally recommend and will be top of my list next time we are down in Cornwall.

Perfect stay in North Cornwall

This was a last minute booking after our trip to the Scilly Isles was cancelled. Communication with the owner, Karla was excellent from the get go. She was very accommodating to our changing requests. The cottage is really easy access, but set in a quiet location away from the masses. It is very well appointed with a fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable...a perfect home from home. As we'd already spent a few days near St Ives, we focussed on the coast nearby - Rock, Polzeath, Port Isaac, Tintagel and Boscastle are all within 30 minutes. You can get the ferry from Rock to Padstow and we also enjoyed all the lively independent shops there...a butcher, baker, deli, fishmonger. We used this to stock up on stuff for lunches and made one dinner at home. There are lots of good eateries all along this coast too. Advise to book early. We struggled a bit on a weeknight in early October. Eden Project is less than an hour away, as is St Michael's Mount and St Ives. We'll definitely be back.

We stayed in this lovely two-bedroom cottage in a great location near to all the dog-friendly beaches in North Cornwall, the little food shops in Rock and Padstow is just a ferry ride away. The cottage itself is set in lovely grounds with a nice big communal lawn for the kids and dog to play in when at home. The cottage was comfy and well equipped, especially the kitchen, and it was well decorated throughout to provide a homely feel. My only gripe was that the mattress in the double bedroom was too soft to support my bad back. Overall it was a great stay and thoroughly recommended.

A wonderfully presented cottage, though it is not big was plenty big enough for us as a family of 2 adults and 2 older children of 17 and 13 years who were more than happy sharing their pretty big twin bedded room. Very clean and cosy with everything you need if you decide to cook, which we did a few nights. Pityme Inn pub within 5 minute drive has delicious food and an excellent gin menu and a plus for teenagers, a pool table. Couldn't fault a thing here and our 2 teenagers loved it too. Nice touch with a chest of family games just in case weather's not good or just for some family entertainment. We loved every minute of our stay here and for April were extremely lucky to have such amazing weather that we didn't even get when we went to St Ives last August. Obviously this is just down to luck with our good old English weather. Excellent location for visiting the beaches with Rock and Polzeath very close or a short drive to the other gorgeous beaches of Mawgan Porth, Constantine Bay, Harlyn Bay to name a few which are great for bodyboarding, surfing and games on the beach. We loved the various costal walks and it is just quite simply a beautiful and breathtaking place. So much so we are coming back next April would be sooner if we could as none of us wanted to leave and are wondering how we are going to manage without the beach and the delicious bakery near by. Dillon the dog has thoroughly enjoyed all of the beaches and is probably only happy to be home purely to catch up on some sleep after exhausting days of digging and carrying pieces of slate from the beaches!! He's a king Charles spaniel and I'm not sure this is normal but he loved it!! Anyway we definitely recommend this lovely cottage and all the gorgeous surroundings. Go enjoy, explore and take in the beauty!!

We really enjoyed our visit . The only problems we had was the storage heaters that they was controlled by the owners app on their phones .We think that it would have been better if we had control over it as sometimes we would have liked it hotter especially at night time and early mornings

We had a very happy New Year break in this lovely, well presented cottage. The cottage is clean, tastefully decorated, very comfortable and well equipped. There is ample space for car parking and it is set in a scenic, peaceful location. A car is highly desirable to assist access the nearest shops and facilities. This cottage is ideally situated for visits to nearby Rock, Padstow and Wadebridge and cycle hire is available on the nearby Camel Trail. Just a reminder....don’t forget to take your own towels and if you need assistance, Jackie, the caretaker is easy to contact and is extremely helpful. We had a very happy holiday, thank you !

A good cottage made even better

I have stayed at Glen Valley Cottage several times in recent years but this was the first time under new ownership. The updates, heating, bed, TV (though only switched on twice in a week) and various other furnishings have made what was a good cottage into a great one. After spending my days in the cold winds photographing the Moors it was a warm and welcoming place to return each evening. Customer service and communication with the owners was excellent. I will definitely be returning and would recommend this property to anybody wanting to explore North Cornwall. Stuart
