Villa Nepal

We had a nice stay overall. The location was great—close to everything we needed—and the layout of the property worked really well for our family. It had everything we needed for a self-catering trip, and the beds were genuinely very comfortable, which we appreciated after long days out. The heated pool was also a big plus, especially for the kids who really enjoyed having it to play in. While there were a few areas that could be improved, especially around cleanliness and maintenance, the property itself has a lot of potential and with a bit more attention to detail, it could offer a really lovely experience for future guests.

The only downside to our stay was the cleanliness and general upkeep of the property. There were no basic essentials provided, which I’ve come to expect from self-catering accommodations. A few cleaning products, sponges, or even an extra bin bag would have made a big difference. Instead, there was only one cloth and a can of ant spray. I ended up having to do an extra mini myself, as there was a noticeable layer of dust on the shelves and under the beds. I even found a perfume box under a chair in the bedroom—something that should have easily been picked up during a proper clean. I would strongly recommend hiring professional cleaners to service the property between guests. It seems like too much for the hosts to manage themselves, and the current cleaning standard is not acceptable. The settee throws and blankets didn’t appear to be cleaned or replaced before our arrival. We arrived before our check-in time to drop off luggage and saw that the throws were already on the sofas and beds, simply straightened—not laundered. When I lifted the bed throw, I found hairs on my freshly made duvet. These items should be properly washed and rotated between each stay to ensure hygiene. There were also visible cracks between the kitchen worktops, floor, and wall units, which could allow ants to get in. While ants are naturally occurring, this type of maintenance should be addressed to prevent infestations. Lastly, the pool seemed neglected. The water was stagnant, and there was no suction from the bottom plug that typically helps circulate water through the filter. The pool water also didn’t smell of chlorine—instead, it was just salty—which made me question what, if anything, was being used to keep it clean.

A good-sized villa that has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The pool and conservatory area are both amazing.

No air con

The Villa is situated fairly close to the seafront (about a 15 minute walk) or 4 euros in a cab. The Villa itself was very good value for money, we had a slight issue with the pool which was addressed straight away. The owners are very attentive and nothing is too much for them. We would highly recommend this Villa.
