We had a wonderful family holiday, the house is beautiful and exceptionally clean. There is everything you need in the kitchen and plenty of room for a big family. The house is in a beautiful, quiet rural location but excellent place to explore many local attractions as well as in visiting distance of France, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The hospitality shown by Florence and Pierre was lovely and we were very grateful for the fresh eggs every day. We cannot recommend this property enough. Thank you very much indeed.

We arrived at the property about an hour earlier than expected. Florence had no problem with us entering early. She showed us all around and explained where everything was. As it was very hot she produced 3 fans for the bedrooms which gratefully received. The Gite was spotless and Florence and her husband were very welcoming. It was lovely being able to collect fresh eggs, and we certainly made use of the games room and BBQ. We would recommend this property. Thank you Florence and Pierre.

The gite excelled all of our expectations! It was spotlessly clean and everything we could possibly have wanted. The house and gardens are beautiful, as is the surrounding area. Our children particularly enjoyed visiting the chickens! Florence and Pierre were friendly and welcoming hosts and we would not hesitate to recommend their wonderful gite! Great hosts in a beautiful location

The hosts, Florence and Pierre were fantastic. They welcomed us with smiles and an eagerness to show us the accommodations, but also to introduce us to the surrounding area. The location is quiet but also central to many sights all within a few minutes drive or walk. We visited France, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, and Germany, all within a 90 min drive. We also enjoyed many local sights, including a fabulous stop in Modave. The house was clean and well maintained. Our teens enjoyed the game room and my parents enjoyed the grounds, flowers, and chickens. I would certainly not hesitate to recommed this place as a destination for those interested in history, sightseeing, or relaxing. We loved our brief stop here and will choose it again if given the opportunity.

The house looks great on the website, and fully delivers on arrival. Florence and Pierre are great hosts, very helpful and welcoming, and they have provided a wonderful relaxing environment both indoors and outside. Our children loved the chickens, the games room and the reliable WiFi, and we also loved the large garden, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. The wider area is very pleasant, with good transport links and facilities (shops etc). The weather was very good when we visited (April), but the house looked to have everything needed for enjoying a visit in any season. There really are no compromises with this property and our party of eight all felt very comfortable here. Our only regret is not staying longer. Maybe next time....? Thanks again!

We arrived to a warm welcome from Florence and Pierre, we were given a tour of the property and found the whole home to be very clean and tidy both the inside and the garden area just as the photos showed, They had lots of information as to what to do and were to go if you required it, We were very pleased with the property and was a pleasure to stay in your lovely home We would not hesitate in renting this property in the future and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area, once again thank you Florence and Pierre. regards, gordon stephenson.

A warm welcome from the owners was a nice way to start our holiday and nothing was too much trouble.The gite was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The games room was good fun too.

This is a beautiful and very well kept home! We loved the chickens and the side yard and the eggs! Anything that the host can do to make your stay comfortable and organized has already been done. Very impressive. She has a very fine tuned System down which is really nice! She’s clearly a master Gardner and the garden is exquisite. It’s a nice country home that is away from it all. The home was EXTREMELY clean. The only reason I can’t give us a five star is because the beds are extremely uncomfortable. Master bed is very hard and you can literally feel springs in the mattress. I ended up sleeping in one of the twin beds after the first night which was just fine. Note for anyone with babies or toddlers: GORGEOUS AND WELL KEPT home with plenty of amenties for babies and kids. There are a lot of things that are a little bit scary if you have toddlers or babies. Large gaps in between the stairs and a lot of falling risks (large gaps between slats on the railings and a concrete landing) and super steep stairs (think ladder stair combo) in the home. The yard is not fenced (to no fault of the owner or home) but I couldn’t let my little go outside alone. Again, amazing owner and Home, just a heads up for those with little.

We were very pleased with our stay at Gite Alize. The owners were very accommodating - they answered questions via email very quickly and their English was adequate (which we were very thankful for!). The house was one of the cleanest HomeAway's we've every stayed in. The highlight for our children were the chickens and the farm fresh eggs. The Belgian beer, homemade jam and apple juice and yummy chocolates were a nice welcome. The kitchen is well stocked and they have most everything you need to make a delicious meal. The surrounding area of Ramelot is beautiful. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

We really enjoyed our short break here. The cottage had everything we needed and more, and the owners are really lovely. The location made a perfect base for exploring the area, knowing that we'd be back for a comfortable and relaxing evening each day. There was easily enough space for us, and we'd really like to go back to make more use of the garden next time. Overall very highly recommended.

We stayed at this lovely gite for a week with 2 adults and 5 children ( 2,7,10, 13,13). It was the right size for us and not once did it feel crowded or cramped. The front garden was the area the children used most as it was ideal to play badminton and it also had the strongest wi-fi signal! The house has everything you need and more, the kitchen is well stocked with utensils, pans, glasses etc.. There are lots of leaflets and information books for the surrounding areas and attractions. The owners were very helpful on several occasions. On our first day our youngest daughter was ill and needed a doctor. The owners rang around the doctors and got us an appointment on a sunday. Very impressed!! The owners are close by if you need them but we never felt like they were watching us. The village itself does not have a lot but the surrounding areas have everything you need. We stayed a week and were busy everyday visiting theme parks, castles, parks and going on river tours. We did not realise how pretty this part of belgium was (Namur, Dinant, Huy and Durbuy are all lovely towns). There were quite a few things we wanted to do but ran out of time. The house is a great base to explore this part of belgium. The only negative thing was the wifi signal was not great inside of the house. This was fine with the adults but not so great with the internet dependent children!! But its a holiday, who needs wifi when you have the great outdoors!!!

***** star accommodation. We had the most amazing holiday in Belgium. The gite was absolutely perfect. Very spacious, clean and well equipped. Florence and Pierre were excellent hosts and went out their way to help with any questions we had. The children loved the games room and the additional toys in the mezzanine. They especially liked checking the hen house each day for fresh eggs. The location is a great base for touring Belgium and also for travelling to Germany and Luxembourg. We enjoyed our stay at Gite Alize tremendously. The cottage was very spacious & comfortable, the wifi worked well, the kitchen was well equipped, the surroundings were green & serene. My husband enjoyed getting the fresh eggs laid by the hens there. The supermarket was not too far and we enjoyed the chocolates, the apple juice and the fresh jam provided by Florence. All in all we loved the place and would definitely like to go there again. Thank you Florence and Pierre for our wonderful stay.

"We had a wonderful stay here, our first stay in a gite or similar accommodation in Europe and definitely the best house we stayed in. Everything was provided, including a lovely "welcome package" by the owners, Florence and Pierre, and they were very accommodating and helpful. The property was in a lovely quiet village with beautiful surroundings, very clean and well-equipped. Great holiday house for anyone with children, as there is a playroom on a mezzanine level with plenty of toys. The tourist information provided was also excellent, detailing sites of interest in the area, walks that could be done and necessary information. Not easy to access without a car, but as we had hired one, we took several day trips and saw plenty of Belgium by using Ramelot as our base. The only thing we would say is that we needed to block off upstairs areas with a suitcase so that our curious 17-month old would not go up the stairs, as we were concerned he might fall through the gaps (large gaps between stairs and between the balustrades)! A wonderful stay, thank you to Florence and Pierre!"

"Lovely spacious house and garden in a quiet village with owners living next door. The owners were very friendly and helpful, there if you needed them, otherwise you would not know they were there. Plenty to do in the surrounding area although, as we had fabulous weather, we didn''t do a lot of sightseeing.Supermarket 5 mins away by car. Well equipped kitchen, good sized freezer. The children enjoyed the table tennis table and collecting the eggs from the hen house in the garden. This house would be great for a stay at anytime of year."

"We chose this property due to its proximity to Liege but found it to be set in the most beautiful remote rural location. The house was immaculately presented and provded us with everything we required. The children loved playing in the large secure garden especially collecting freshly laid eggs from the chickens. "The property is beautiful, tastefully decorated and very clean. There was lots for the children to amuse themselves. The gite itself is very comfortable and allowed all 7 of us to relax in the living room together in the evenings. Florence and Pierre were very friendly and welcoming. This part of Belgium has plenty of interesting places to visit and things to do. Our daughter thought this was "the best gite we have ever stayed in" and the rest of us agree. "This beautiful home is pleasantly big, clean and very comfortable. It is in a quiet rural location with easy access to walks. The house itself and the contents are perfect and we could not have asked for more. Our 2 year old was very impressed by all the local farm animals and the little presents from the hens every day. The hosts were friendly and very helpful and had kindly left helpful brochures and maps of the area. The local farmers markets were fantastic too......I could go on and on. I cannot recommend it highly enough for a relaxing break."

Florence und Pierre sind die perfekten Gastgeber! Die Kommunikation vor Antritt der Reise war immer sehr freundlich und schnell. Die Ankunft war perfekt organisiert. Das Haus war sehr sauber, liebevoll und komplett eingerichtet. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Besonders haben wir uns über das Gastgeschenk (selbstgemachte Marmelade und Saft) gefreut und dass wir täglich die Eier der Hühner einsammeln durften. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!
