About this cottage rental

The Ty Coch annex has been extensively renovated with all modern amenities and comfortable, spacious accommodation. Set at 300m above the valley with awesome mountain and lake views this is the ideal base to explore the mountains and history of Snowdonia or relax and unwind in comfortable surroundings. Ty Coch annex has a log burner to create a great atmosphere. There is WiFi, a TV and a comfortable open plan living area with log burner to read, entertain or just chill out. The mezzanine bedroom is accessed via spiral stairs. There is a small patio where you can sit out and enjoy the views and a glass of wine.

Very clean cottage, very spacious for 2 people. Kitchen well equipped, comfortable lounge with log burner & airer, clean bathroom by front door. Useful washing machine & freezer. Narrow spiral staircase to bed area. Beautiful views over to Snowdon, Llanberis & Elidir Fawr. Not really suitable for nervous drivers - narrow road to access property, & limited space for turning at top of drive.

A fabulous stay in a more than comfortable residence. I had everything I needed and I was well provided for. The location was perfect. I was able to access Pen-y-Pas for Snowdon within 20 minutes, and so many other beautiful location. It was easy to find thanks to the fantastic directions from the owners. I would recommend this to absolutely anyone.

We booked a week stay here to relax and unwind from the last two years and we could not of booked a more amazing place to stay. The cottage was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of home. Sitting on the decking at night listening to the sounds of life in the mountains was fantastic. There are some amazing walks nearby and access to Snowdon and the national park was easy and breath taking. Check in and out was really well planned by the owners, and we thank you for our wonderful stay. Highly recommended

We had an amazing stay and experience in this lovely cottage style home with fireplace. Everting looks way better in real life than on the photos. Steve and Jo was very welcoming and the communication was smooth during the whole time. We adored this property, its open plan, clean and dog friendly. We got the log fire going and felt instantly at home. Louis picked his spot and trying to shift him out of it after that was a futile exercise. Steve and Jo left us to it, only checking to make sure we had the fire going and offer some much needed advice about where to eat. Also do listen to their instructions about finding the place. Honestly we would go back tomorrow, in fact in two years I'm due to write up my thesis and am considering a week there as a writing retreat already. On a slight tangent whoever wrote the little notes round the place has wonderful penmanship.

Firstly, the pictures do not do this property justice as it is very spacious inside. The property is detached and sits behind the owner's home. They are lovely - so friendly - but left us alone to enjoy the peace and quiet. The property is pet friendly and has parking right next to it. Excellent facilities include tv, dvd player, washing machine and dish washer. A very comfortable bed - we have never slept so well! There is decking to the front of the property with far reaching views over to Snowdon. There is a table, two chairs and a couple of benches - so plenty of room to sit out and chill with a beer or glass of wine after a day out exploring. On a clear night, because of the lack of light pollution, the star show is something I have never seen before. Overall this property is amazing - spacious, clean, pet friendly, has parking and magnificent views. Perfect for a relaxing and restful holiday. Thank you for a wonderful holiday x

An amazing location with stunning views of the lake and Yr Wyddfa itself! Lot's of lovely places to visit within a 30-40 min radius - so whether you want gardens, stately homes, history, archaeology, heritage, crafts, adrenaline or a beach - this the location for you. We were welcomed by Steve who had lit the fire for our late arrival to the cottage. Already we were given really good communication to get to the cottage so arriving to the warmth and care of our host was really nice. The location is great for short walks directly from the cottage to the lake, which the view from the cottage is incredible. We loved the feel inside too, nice and spacious for us both. So pleased we found this for a mid week break!

I can’t recommend Ty Coch highly enough! Everything was great, the apartment is excellent with absolutely everything you could need. Joanne has done an excellent job to really make sure everything is totally clean and Covid safe. Everything was really easy (excellent directions, check in process, finding everything needed) and this is a great base to explore North Wales and snowdonia. Ty Coch is perfect for an individual or couple visiting this area. My only regret is that I should have stayed longer!

A quaint and idyllic cottage situated in Snowdonia Park. Surrounded by mountains and lakes there is not much to dislike about this accommodation. Only a short drive from Llandudno and Dinas Dinlle. The owners were very kind and forthcoming and respected our privacy. The log burner was a wonderful addition that kept us warm on rainy days. It is some distance away from any major supermarkets so I advise buying food to take with you before travelling. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful, cosy cottage, with lovely views of the Llyn Padarn and Snowdon. This cottage was a perfect base for our weeks break where we had a wonderful time exploring Snowdonia and climbing up Snowdon. The property was well equipped with facilities we needed for the week and the description and photos of the property were very clear. The owners provided good instructions on how to get there and even offered us assistance one morning when there was a brief power outage (20 mins max) due to a fallen line in some strong winds. I would highly recommend this place.

Lounge,eating, kitchen,bathroom of good standard but sleeping accommodation for elderly normal sized people left a lot to be desired. We are both in our 80's and my wife is only 5.0ft tall and neither of us is overweight but we found the mezzanine (sleeping) accommodation far too restrictive. Patio area about 10' x 8' and view from that and sitting room VERY limited. One had to leave the property to get any reasonable view. Did not expect to be asked to empty rubbish into selective collecting bins on leaving as owner lives on site.

This is a lovely place, perfect location, with views over the lake to the mossy mountains opposite and Snowden, and the building is wonderful. A converted small barn, with double height living space and a good sized kitchen and mezzanine bedroom with spiral staircase. We were very lucky with the weather, but still couldn't resist lighting the woodburner one night, with it's impressive chimney stretching up to the eaves, it heats the space in a minute. This place is great. But does that mean it will be harder to book next time we want to come?

We stayed in this holiday annex for a week, and we enjoyed it very much. The location was very good, for the views on the mountains of Snowdonia were fantastic. From the garden you can see the Snowdown, and the lake below. From this location there are several walks possible, into the woods, and along bridge over a waterfall, only 10 minutes away. You can climb the Snowdown, or go by train, even by train along the lakeside. Further places of interest in the surroundings are Caernafon Castle, Bodnant Gardens and Anglesey island and lots more. The cottage was perfect, we loved the woodburner. Very friendly owner, who was very helpful.

The cottage is lovely and is located in an idyllic location, overlooking Llyn Padern and Snowdon, and within a couple of minutes walk of the North Wales Slate Route and Pilgrims Way walking routes. The accommodation has everything you need, including a fridge, a freezer, job and oven, and a wood burner for cosy nights in. I highly recommend Ty Coch and wouldn't hesitate to return.

We have had a lovely stay at Ty Goch, this is a beautiful and very spacious annex with plenty of storage. The views of the mountains and Llyn Padern are just beautiful it’s so quiet and relaxing, there are some lovely walks right on your doorstep with Dinorwic quarry being one of many. Ty Goch, in my opinion is very reasonably priced and close to lots of activities. I would definitely recommend staying here and I’m sure we will be returning shortly for another fix of the mountains, Steve the owner was very friendly he met us on arrival and came out to wish us a safe journey home, which considering the welsh downpour I think was very kind.

The property is lovely and quaint, its ideal for a weeks stay if you would like to explore the surrounding areas. The cottage is well kept and has amazing views overlooking a lake and you can actually see snowdon from the cottage. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return and stay here again. It was very nice for Steve to come over and introduce himself and provide us with local knowledge of the area. Thank you.
