Luxury villa/ Private Heated Pool / Private Garden

We absolutely LOVED the Villa Partana. Livia is fantastic and ensured every detail of the stay was met. The listing cannot do it justice, it is more grand and spectacular in person. 14 of us stayed here very comfortably to celebrate my friends 60th birthday. The wellness room with hot tub and dry saunas was wonderful. We cooked many dinners in the fully equipped kitchen. Livia helped us arrange a wonderful wine tour nearby, drivers for transport and olive farms. You can easily walk to town. Plenty of bathrooms, robes in each bedroom. The views are amazing!!I cannot wait to come back. I would always book a stay here. Thank you Livia

We stayed at Villa Livia for three days and hosted our wedding there. It is beyond amazing, we were in awe of everything. The villa and grounds are 10 times better than the photos show. Every corner of the villa and guest houses are pristine and covered in antique furniture and artwork. The houses and grounds are huge. Our wedding was 20 guests and there was ample space for everyone to stay. The wedding vendors couldn’t believe the space and how perfect it was for a wedding. We had our ceremony under the olive trees in one section of the garden, our cocktail hour by the pool and our dinner on the grass next to the pool. The grounds were so lush that we didn’t even need to leave the villa for our wedding photos. It is truly dreamy. We had one dinner and one brunch catered by Nonna Maria and it was excellent, sooo much food. Livia was helpful and easy to contact. The whole place is pristine clean. Truly perfect and a wedding location dream. Michaela from My Sicily Wedding coordinated the whole thing and would be a perfect contact for anyone thinking to host a wedding in that location.

It’s hard to accurately describe how wonderful Livia’s Villa is, so I’ll offer this comment from a friend who arrived first: “It’s like stepping into a dream.” 15 of us traveled from the US and a few points in Amsterdam to celebrate my husband’s birthday. No one wanted to leave.The property is gorgeous, Livia is an exceptional host, the town and many amenities are close by, and Nonna Maria’s dinner on the first night was wonderful. We’d absolutely come back and are already planning our trip!

There is a magic in the pure air and fertile fields of Western Sicily. Here, the ancient Mediterranean landscape - where wild varieties of thyme, fennel and asparagus are found among the modern tillage - now yields sophisticated oils, wines and citrus. Everywhere, the ruins of the ancients. We came to out-of-the-way Partanna, and Villa Livia, to be immersed in this uniquely-Sicilian experience.From the moment the entry gate swung open, the Villa Livia exceeded our expectations. The living accommodations were beautifully-appointed and nicely-arranged. From its high perch at the top of town, the villa affords expansive views of the Belice Valley, past Castelvetrano, to the sea. Magnificent sunrises and sunsets are the norm. Need additional privacy? The villa’s cottage awaits, a short stroll through the gardens.Sicily is all about the food. We hired a local cook and the experience was superb (ask the villa proprietor, who can arrange). The villa offers three dining areas: the breezy entry portico, the large sunroom, and the formal dining room. Cooking for yourself? You’ll find the kitchen modest in size but well-equipped and thoughtfully-designed. The villa offers two lovely living rooms and appointments throughout the residence are well-considered and typical of the region and its history. However, we used every opportunity to enjoy the amazing outdoor spaces. The pool area deserves special mention. It’s especially lovely at sunset.We were very impressed with the villa’s proprietor who was attentive and communicated quickly as the need arose, both before and throughout our visit. Top marks here.NOTES: While Partanna is ideally-located to explore Western Sicily (Selinunte, Marsala, Trapani/Erice, and Segesta are within an hour), Partanna itself is not a tourist town. Markets and good restaurants are a walkable distance, but you’ll need an automobile to access your destinations.Sicily is enjoying a wine renaissance! A tour/tasting at one of the up-and-coming small vintners is a must. The wineries at Gorghi Tondi and Planeta are standouts. Olives, similarly. Western Sicily hosts a number of artisanal oil producers. We loved our tour of the world-class Azienda Agricola Ravida. Other options are within 45 minutes. In sum, we could not have asked for a better experience than was afforded by Villa Livia. We found this an exceptional property, and recommend it heartily for any larger group (we were eleven).
