Sehr geräumige Wohnung, etwas altmodisch eingerichtet (vom Opa der Besitzer), aber sehr gediegen und blitzsauber. Die Balkonmöbel (leicht angerostet) und einige Fugen im Bad könnten eine Auffrischung vertragen, auch eine Duschstange wäre kein Luxus. Die Klimaanlagen im Doppelschlafzimmer und in der gut und modern eingerichteten Küche arbeiten gut, in den Einzelzimmern kann es aber recht warm werden (Tipp: untertags alle Türen zum Flur auflassen und beide Klimaanlagen einschalten).
Untertags ist die Straße sehr laut, nachts ruhiger. Schlafen bei offenem Fenster ist keine gute Idee, die lärmende Müllabfuhr kann schon mal um Mitternacht kommen, und viele Italiener lieben den Klang ihrer Hupe wie auch hochtourig gefahrener Motoren. Aber mit Klimaanlage schläft es sich ohnehin angenehmer.
Supermarkt gleich gegenüber, mehrere Bars zum Frühstücken in der Nähe. Ins Stadtzentrum kommt man mit der Metro (5 Min. entfernt, fährt aber nur bis 21 Uhr!), zur Not auch mit dem Stadtbus (Haltestelle bei der Metro - Bei Rückfahrt den Fahrer bitten, einen rechtzeitig "rauszuwerfen", oder versuchen, sich an den Hausnummern zu orientieren - im Dunkeln nicht ganz einfach!) oder in 30-40 Min. zu Fuß.
Valentina und Giuseppe sind sehr freundliche Gastgeber, ließen uns am Abfahrtstag bis 16.00 Uhr in der Wohnung, da unsere Fähre in Palermo erst um Mitternacht abfuhr (mille grazie!). Wie generell auf Sizilien ist es vorteilhaft, wenn man selbst ein paar Brocken Italienisch spricht.
