Fantastic little holiday

The area was lovely, the cottage itself was clean and relaxing . The family were kind and helpful, gave us info and let us know we could contact if needed - but otherwise let us get on so that we could enjoy our holiday. The hot tub was a firm favourite , and I also found the whole house very inviting and cosy. The beds were extremely comfortable leading to a very good night's sleep. We also enjoyed having the fire to snuggle up to. Overall a very pleasant stay for our half term break.

I can't really fault anything as we were extremely happy with the house & area!

Perfect!!

The cottage was lovely . very clean with all the necessary things provided . Lovely hosts that live on site .Sally explained how everything worked .In a quiet area but not far from shops and a short drive to a lovey beach . We had a fabulous holiday !

Great place - highly recommended

Great cottage - well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. The hot tub was great. The ability to charge our electric car was also a bonus. Sally was lovely and on hand to assist had we needed anything. Great location - not far from Beaumaris by car and walking distance to Benllech beach, where you can get great fish and chips or meal and a drink

Seemed very clean however on the last day our dog lost his treat under the bed so I tried to retrieve it. Not clean under there unfortunately. Not been cleaned in a long time.

Cottage was very comfortable and clean.

It would have been nice to have been provided with some tea and coffee bags for when we arrived. (To be fair the host, when he arrived, did nip next door and find me some tea bags as I was absolutely desperate for a brew, having driven a long way.) I also expected to find salt and pepper available in the cupboards. The chopping block provided was only really big enough to cut lemons for a G and T, not vegetables for soup. Please could you include some instructions for how to use the the central heating programme in the welcome folder?

I called the owner before arriving and was asked if I was trying to be sneaky because we asked if the property would be ready an hour earlier. The property is very dirty and damp, and you can the place has not been updated for many years due to the patterns of dirt and damp on skirts and walls. It smelt of damp. Advertised as 5 star, but I would rate 1 star. There were bugs throughout the property earwigs and spiders. The walls were dirty and damp, and so were curtains. The bathroom had a lot of mould in it, and the shower was greasy and dirty with mould. The windows didn't lock and could be opened from the outside. When I raised this, I was told things would be ok as it has never been broken into. It sits next to the owners caravan site with frequent people coming through. The front door faces the bins to the site and farm equipment. Very unsightly. The patio was slippery and covered in moss as well as unkempt. We had concerns about using the hot tub due to the standard of cleanliness. The property is very dated, and the kitchen was greasy on worktops and utensils as well as table and chairs. Photos must be very old on the site. We left after the first night of our honeymoon due to the damp. The landlord agreed on the phone, and by text, they would refund our money and contact booking.com. When we did, they did not pay the money back for our honeymoon. I would not recommend this property. We cried when we saw the condition of it. It has taken 3 weeks to find out we can't get our money back either. Looking back at past reviews, a few are good recently, but check further back, and you will see the hygiene and cleanliness have been a long-standing issue. All in all, we found the owner rude, description untrue, security was compromised on the property, and the owner Sally told us lies despite being aware of our honeymoon and why we had to leave.

Lovely peaceful gem in the heart of Anglesey

Lovely cottage with everything you need for a family holiday. Clean and tidy, large parking area, close to amenities and in a lovely location

The bedrooms are a bit snug, bit difficult getting around and in the wardrobes but nothing you can do about the room size so it is what it is

Our wedding anniversary away

This property was just beautiful it was truly home from home it was very well equipped with everything you needed right down to towel robes for when you get out the hot tub loved every moment while away highly recommend couldn’t find any faults from the meet and great to show us how the hot tub works and showing us round fantastic x

Great Holiday :)

The peace and quiet. Comfy beds. Hot tub! Well equipped, clean and comfortable. Anglesey has so many amazing beaches, and it was really quiet, with beautiful weather!

Would have been nice to get to the courtyard and to the tub area through the kitchen, rather than through the bedroom.... Then we would have eaten outside more I think

Very poor value for money

Location was peaceful and quiet

Having to go through the bedroom to access the patio and hot tub meant friends had to wait for us to wake up. The pictures didn't reflect the accommodation it was very unkempt with kickboards in the kitchen being a trip hazard. On the morning of our departure it felt we were being hurried to leave as staff came to clean the hot tub around an hour before we were due to depart. Lack of privacy to get ready to leave and our friends did want a dip in the hot tub before we left.

Beautiful and serene

Lovely quiet location but not too far away from all we needed. Beautiful views. They have a few animals in the field an Alpaca, goats and hens which are adorable.

It is still April but it was a little chilly on an evening - I think if you brought your dressing gown or thick pjs it would be fine.

It wasn’t clean and lack of basic supplies. No hand wash in the bathroom. No milk or cooking oil the cupboards and appliances were empty, for the price should have had a welcome pack. There were no finishing touches to make it feel homely

Lovely welcoming stay

Lovely cottage, Staff were so helpful and made us both feel really welcome. Log burner was great.

Our only criticism but maybe it's just us....but it would be amazing if there was even a tiny bit of milk provided and even just a couple of tea bags for initial arrival after a long journey in the car a brew before going off to the shops to get a food shop in would be marvellous. But I know it was self catering but that would be our only gripe even if it increased the cost slightly. Hot tub maybe could have been slightly warmer but again that might be our personal preference.

Summer hols 2023

Location was good as was the owner who kept us updated with a power cut due to bad weather and was on hand to reset fuse that tripped out 2 or 3 times one day. Hot tub was very good.

Wasn't as clean as expected to be honest. The ratten furniture in the garden on the picture was dirty. The BBQ was filthy and rusty and unusable. A separate BBQ was offered in the welcome pack although this came with a cost. Log burner available but didn't use as weather was warm enough although logs came at a price. For price we paid we would really expect logs and BBQ to be free.

Fantastic location, easy to explore the island. Only 10 minutes from the beach, supermarket and places to eat. The hot tub, while not on the top of our priority list, was lovely.

We had a really relaxing time at The Cottage, just what we all needed.

The cottage was lovely. Very relaxing. Perfect location. We drove to a different location every day and visited amazing beaches. It had everything we needed. We had barbecue’s for tea. My kids loved the hot tub and the yard outside was lovely to sit out in. There’s a washing machine which was great. The shower was powerful. I’d love to stay in the winter so we could use the log burner. We where blessed with lovely weather. We’ll definitely be back. I would 100% recommend staying here. The hosts where very friendly too. My boys loved the chickens.

Excellent venue in a great location on a fantastic island.

This is an annex to the main property where the hosts live, but is private and separate enough to feel like you are in your own domain. Everything "worked" and there was nothing missing that you could ever need and the hot tub was amazing too. Very good curry house up the road (10 mins walk)- Benllech tandoori- they are from Nepal and make excellent dishes comparable with any other good curry venue in the UK. The carvery at the Bull Inn in nearby Pentraeth is also excellent quality and value.

the only constructive criticism I could offer is to have some solar lights in the patio area- it seems a bit soulless once it goes dark.

The property was perfect for us, comfortably fitting 4 of us, a baby and 2 dogs. A great location, 5 mins from Benllech with plenty of lovely walks around. The owners were very accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous Cottage, would stay again if Anglesey was on the cards

From the second we walked in the door, it was warm and cosy. The cottage is beautifully decorated, it was very homely. Well equipped kitchen, had everything we needed and more. Sally & Gary are a lovely couple, very friendly and approachable. Thank you both, we loved it x
