About this villa rental
Begur is a lovely old medieval town, which has many good restaurants and bars, with many chic boutiques. The villa, Les Tres Oliveres, is in an area of great natural beauty with a large range of leisure pursuits including diving and golf. It is also very popular with walkers and ramblers throughout the year. The villa is on the Cami de Ronda coastal route and a quiet road leading to the marine reserve of Ses Negres (2 minutes walk) between the beaches of Aiguafreda (10 minutes walk) and Sa Riera (2.3km) and about 5km from Begur.
The garden has been fully relandscaped in January 2024 to make it drought resistant. The grassed areas had proved to be unsustainable over the last 2 years due to global warming and subsequent water restrictions that were imposed. The new garden is comprised of wood composite decking and steps together with gravel and two mature lemon trees.
The house has wonderful sea and countryside views and is fully furnished with many facilities. It consists of a kitchen, 2 living rooms, a sun room / dining room, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms (two king size bedrooms and one with 2 single beds.)
All three of the bedrooms have air con.
The lower king size has an en-suite wetroom and French doors opening on to the shaded outside dining area and sofa).
The balcony is accessible from both the main living room and the sun room, both of which have great sea views. The shaded outside dining area has a BBQ and is just up from the private heated pool (8m x 4m).
Diving, Boating, Walking and Golf:
This area really is one of the best areas in Spain for Scuba Diving. We dive from Aiguafreda which is 2 minutes drive from the house. It's a great safe place to dive with loads to see. We also dive at the Medas Islands and with Dive Begur.
The marine reserve at the end of the road is called Ses Negres, and is 2 minutes walk from the villa. It is excellent for snorkelling with lots of fish to see in very clear water, but as it is protected, scuba diving is not permitted in this specific location. Please ask us if you have any more questions about this.
If you want to go boating, we can put you in touch with a local who provides boat hire or another who can take you on a tour along the coast. You can moor up in coves which are only accessible from the sea.
The Costa Brava is wild and rugged area with tremendous views and scenery. It has great walks and 370km of marked paths which are maintained by the Baix Emporda Tourism Committee. The house is actually on the coastal path called Cami de Ronda
There are 9 golf courses in the area including 2 championship courses
How to get here: From the UK, you can get Eurotunnel or a ferry from Dover to Calais. The drive time from Calais is 12 hours. Otherwise, most budget airlines such as EasyJet, Ryanair and Jet 2 fly in to the airports of Girona, Perpignan and Barcelona. Girona airport is 45 minutes and the others are less than 90 minutes drive.

Beautiful villa and pool in a wonderful location. We spent 2 weeks as a family of 5 (3 teenage children) here in August. The villa, grounds and surroundings surpassed our expectations. The view across the valley and sea is wonderful and the villa felt like a home from home. Everything is very well and lovingly maintained. It is a pleasant walk downhill and along a coastal path to Cala d'aiguafreda which has a good and reasonably priced beach bar (probably a 10 minute walk there but a little longer back as uphill) and another 5-10 minute walk around the coastal path to Sa Tuna beach with more cafes/bars. Begur village is a lovely village within 5 minutes driving distance from the villa and there are plenty more Spanish villages only a short drive away that are worth visiting. We also visited Girona for a day (by car) and took a day trip to Barcelon (by car and train) so we mixed a beach holiday with some city visits which was great and we all loved returning to the sanctuary of the villa and pool after a day exploring. The owners of the villa, Sian and John were brilliant. So responsive and helpful – nothing was too much trouble and it made the stay very special. We hope to return to the villa soon and would definitely recommend.

We had a great time staying at John and Sian's beautiful villa. The property is extremely well maintained and supplied with all you need for a very comfortable stay. The hosts are extremely helpful and provide excellent information about the property and surrounding area to help you make the most of your stay. The villa is also very well located in a lovely area with several fantastic beaches and coves close to hand.

We have enjoyed our two weeks to the max. The house exceeded our expectations. We loved spending our days at the pool and the veranda. One of the big advantages of the house for us: its so calm and quiet here, especially during these busy weeks in the Begur area. And the stunning view, my first morning coffee overlooking the sea was incredible, 14 days in a row!
Contact with the owner was very pleasant. Good and poractive communication. Everything we needed to know, we knew upfront. And made clear via video's or how to explanation.
All and all a very nice place to stay at the centre of the Begur area. Great spot to visit all the nice bays, the city of Begur and the wider area. For sure a recommendation!

We spent a wonderful week in this villa in July with our two daughters (12/14).
When we entered the property we were overwhelmed by the spectacular view not only over the sea but also onto the green hills of Begur.
Our daugters immediately fell in love with the big pool as it offered the perfect refreshing and entertainment during an exceptionally hot week. Another perfect relief were the additional bedrooms downstairs as the temperatures there were much cooler.
The house and the garden is really spacious and there are so many lovely spots in the sun or in the shadow that you actually don’t want to leave. Everything was perfectly maintained and very tastefully arranged: the well-temperatured pool and pool area, the colourful garden and the light and warm interior.
But finally we managed to leave this silent place to discover the small bay of Aiguafreda just a short walk away by feet. Also Begur is a wonderful place to spend the evening in a good restaurant or to do some shopping. We also loved the small restaurant mile in Pals.
Finally we had a perfect communication with the owners providing really lots of useful information.
We would love to come back! Thank you very much for this wonderful holiday!
