Mountain town , whose highest point is the Soufriere Volcano ( 15mins ) along its coast , you will see fields of sugar cane, bananas and a very dense rainforest plunging into the sea city is very nice, you will love the freshness of its rivers and its beautiful beaches with sand colors turn from black and red . The city of Basse-Terre has been classified " City of Art and History" in 1995.
Visit Saint -Pierre Cathedral and St. Paul , the House of Corsairs in the city center, the largest market 5 mins : This colorful market is the ideal stopover for strolling and closer to the Guadeloupe atmosphere. Real condensed flavors and Caribbean colors, you can find everything in the market of Basse-Terre, or almost! Spices, fruits and vegetables , flowers, fish and seafood , local handicrafts ( hats coconut leaves ) , meat, cod , puddings , punches ... It is a feast for the eyes and nose ! You will also find coffee , vanilla and cocoa , Caribbean specialties .
The Bonifierie to ( 5mins ) : Discover the tradition of coffee through all its stages , from harvesting to roasting. In the museum you will find a collection of coffee grinders , coffee makers and unusual objects , and " Ti -Café " restaurant " " on the spot .
The Bologne Distillery that you can explore and discover the history , manufacture rum , without forget the gift shop.

The apartment is located in a safe and calm neighborhood. It perfectly suited my needs, as I was visiting there on business. It would be ideal to have a rental car, as public transportation in Basse-Terre will provide only limited service. The hosts were very welcoming and met my needs during the stay. I asked for extra documentation for consulting materials in a local library, and they were willing to help me. They have a small but well-equipped kitchen, and you can use a little Jacuzzi whenever you want. It will be an excellent place to stay in Basse-Terre for a long period. I recommend this place!

Nous avons passés un excellent séjour chez Fabrice et Sabrina qui nous ont très bien accueillis chez eux.
Le quartier est calme et bien situé (proche marché, supermarché la soufriere). L appartement est propre et dispose du nécessaire.
Très bonne expérience auprès d hôtes chaleureux et accueillants 😊 nous reviendrons sans hésiter er
