Podpec: Country Cottage in the countryside with absolute privacy

Podpec' house is a dream to stay, it is located between mountains and the sea. It is peaceful and cozy. The owners Neva and Alfio are amazing people: kind, supportive, easy to deal with.I hope I will have a chance to be back.

The unique features and qualities of this beautiful, lovingly restored and furnished stone house have already been described very accurately on several comments. We would like to mention the special characteristics of the village of Podpec, to which Neva is deeply committed. A particular highlight is the story of the restoration of the medieval village church, to which Neva made a significant contribution. It's wonderful to see what personal dedication can achieve and how a village can reconnect with its roots through such efforts.Listening to Nevas stories and experiences made it easy to feel connected to that special place in Slovenia.Thank you very much, Neva and Alfio!

We stayed in Podpec for circa two weeks and we can honestly say that it was one of the best experiences with a vacation rental we ever had. The place is a lovely, old stone house which has a lot of charme and everything you need, including a beautiful little garden. It's a perfect place for nature lovers. There is a lot to see in the surroundings from nature to culture. And our host Neva could recommend so many great places that we were barely able to them all! But everything we could do was a hit. Thank you for taking such good care of us! She also said best time to visit would be May/June. Eine Freundin sagte nach meinen Erzählungen von diesem Ort und seinen Menschen: "Ein ganz besonderer Platz, von ganz besonderen Menschen, für ganz besondere Menschen." Von diesem Haus gefunden zu werden (wie Neva so schön sagte) und hier sein zu dürfen, war für uns ein so unerwartetes und wundervolles Geschenk. Eine so herzliche und authentische Gastfreundschaft habe ich noch nie vorher erfahren. Das Haus ist mit soooo viel Liebe saniert, eingerichtet und hat eine so wundervolle Energie das wir jede Sekunde dort genossen haben. Am liebsten wären wir sofort komplett eingezogen. Wir sind beide Schreiner und unser Herz hat sich über die vielen liebevollen Details so gefreut und Purzelbäume geschlagen. Eine wundervolle innere Ruhe überkommt einen und dazu eine superschöne Gegend. Lasst euch von den Gastgebern ihre Geschichten erzählen, es ist so wunderbar zu lauschen und in diese Gastfreundschaft einzutauchen. Wir sind immer noch ganz verzaubert.
