Having recently been restored, it has been idealized and rebuilt in order to provide the best comfort to those who need it, keeping as much as possible its simplicity, originality and its landscape.

Casa do Lado is located on the south coast of the island of Madeira, in the Ponta do Sol municipality, which is the warmest municipality on the island and where the sun shines for more hours. It is about 25 min from Funchal, which is the capital city of the island of Madeira, and about 35 min from Santa Cruz / Machico, where the airport is located.

Das Ferienhaus liegt direkt neben dem Haus der Eigentümer auf gleichem Grundstück. Es war sauber und im Wohn/Essbereich funktional und weitgehend Vollständig eingerichtet.
Der Pool vom Haupthaus kann mitbenutzt werden. Man hat einen schönen Blick. Die Lage an einer kleinen, aber mitunter stark befahrenen steilen Straße (2m Entfernung) führte leider für uns zu unangenehmen Lärmbelästigungen - vor allem in der Nacht. Nach einer mehr oder weniger durchwachten Nacht sind wir am nächsten Tag wieder abgereist und haben uns eine Ersatzunterkunft gesucht. Eine von der Vermieterin angebotene Kostenerstattung erfolgte trotz Nachfrage nicht.
