We have nothing but positives to say about the property. If you are looking for somewhere away from it all, yet close enough to the sea and resorts, this is the place for you. You will need a car though. The pool is clean, cool and a welcome relief from the summer heat.We had a couple of issues during our 2 week stay, but Angie was always immediately on hand and got them resovled in no time.Yes there are wasps, mosquitos, ants and all sorts of other insects aplenty, but when visiting rural Portugal, it's to be expected. We would recommend visiting some of the islands of the Ria Formosa. We got the ferry from Olhao to Culatra and to Armona. Absolutely stunning beaches with beatiful white sand, Turquoise crystal clear water and fish everywhere. We also went dolphin spotting with Pudim Real Boat Tours from Faro, and woudl recommed.

A beautiful property tucked away on an idyllic hill side. It has everything you need or want for a break away from the drudgery of life. The pool is exceptionally good and most definitely needed in the heat of summer. Angie is a fabulous host and James was equally as helpful. Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed a wonderful 10 days staying in the old farmhouse. The location is only 20 minutes from the airport, up in the hills with very little close by. The views from the rear of the property are fabulous. The booking process and communication with the owners Angie and John were really easy and smooth. During our stay we needed to contact them as we had a slight issue and it was dealt with straight away. The property itself has thick stone walls and stone floors so was nice and cool inside however hot it got outside. Being Portugal in June we didn't really take any warmer clothes so ended up lighting the log burner in the lounge in the evenings which was so cosy. The pool was a great size and we were pleased that we decided to pay the additional cost to have it heated as the children could literally stay in all afternoon if they wanted to.There was plenty of stuff in the kitchen and also lots of things not listed such as inflatables for the pool, buckets and spades, balls, kids toys, cool bag, freezer blocks etc all of which made life easier. We would recommend this property. It's not the modern type of property we've stayed in on previous holidays but was a rustic, charming old house that we thoroughly enjoyed staying in.
