Beso Hotel Berke Ranch&Nature

Resort: Located in the mountains of Kemer, about 1h from Antalya Airport and 10 min from Çamyuva. Absolutely stunning and not crowded. Pool, gym, tennis/basketball courts, palm trees, breathtaking mountains, bunnies, peacocks, chickens, ducks and horses. The whole place gave me Jurassic Park vibes, genuinely a little piece of paradise. Despite all the animals, everything was surprisingly clean, with no bad smells even around the stables. View: Incredible. People asked if I was in Switzerland or Guadeloupe. You get beautiful mountain views almost everywhere outside and the music perfectly complements the atmosphere. Room: We had an affordable standard room with mountain view. Simple and rustic, but perfect for the surroundings, we felt like two cowboys in an old-fashioned room. We loved hearing the roosters in the morning. Restaurant: Breakfast was included and varied but nothing exceptional. Guests get 15% off lunch/dinner. Food and drinks were very good, but expensive. Outside food/drinks aren’t allowed and the resort is isolated, so you’ll mostly eat there or drive into town. Activities: We did our first forest ride and loved it. The instructor spoke decent English and was very attentive. There’s also a private beach with free shuttle, although the beach is very basic with nowhere to buy water. Staff: Some were lovely, a beautiful, helpful Albanian girl who spoke English, and a guy at the bar who was always willing to help.

Room: We stayed 4 nights and our room was never cleaned. The trash was overflowing. Staff: Overall, not very friendly. Some staff who didn’t speak English would simply ignore us when we tried to get their attention. The worst was Seckin, the tall guy with longer hair at reception. I’ve never experienced such a rude and condescending attitude in hospitality. We asked him to book riding lessons. He said lessons were only available until 6 PM, but it was already 7:30 PM and someone was having a lesson right in front of us. When we pointed this out, he got irritated, raised his voice and aggressively typed a reservation for the next day, saying we could pay afterwards. The next day, we showed up only to be told the instructor wasn’t there and payment was required in advance. Seckin himself had made the reservation, yet treated us like we were the problem, mocking us and repeatedly rolling his eyes. The day before leaving, we asked him to arrange the airport transfer advertised by the hotel. He told us to come back the next morning. When I said I didn’t want to wait until the last minute because I could book another car, he sarcastically replied: “What, you can’t sleep tonight?”. Every time we needed reception, we hoped he wouldn’t be there. HE is the reason I deducted one star. Reception staff should make guests feel welcome, not like a burden. I genuinely recommend moving him to a position without guest interaction. Social skills: 0. Limited English, yet gets irritated when you don’t understand him. Restaurant: We were promised 2 complimentary bottles of water/person/day, but since nobody serviced the room, they were never replaced. Even with the discount, the restaurant was pricey. Food arrived before drinks and waits could reach 40 minutes despite the resort being quiet. Language barrier: Most staff speak Turkish and Russian and very few speak English. They use Google Translate, but communication was still difficult.

Wow, this is such a stunning and beautiful hotel. The grounds are very lush and green with a beautiful well kept luxurious feeling central area. The swimming pool is heated (!) so there is perfect lazy swimming even outside of high season. The breakfast is very good and the forest rooms are beautiful with a very nice balcony. The breakfast is excellent and you can take it in the shade at the poolside or inside. The wifi is great and i did some work related Teams-meetings without hickup. If you have a car it is very close to the beach and is in the middle of nature with trees and views of the mountains all around. You can hike over the mountain to the ruins of Phaselis and take the bus back (check google). The area is not very steep, so if you like running that is no problem. It is quiet, no road noises. You are way better of staying this short 10min distance by car from town than in town itself. The staff at the front desk and restaurant are very helpfull. You will feel welcome here. Stayed 2 extra nights.
