The house is situated at 13km from Couvin, 15km from Chimay, and on the border between France and Belgium.
The historical city of Rocroi (France) is situated at 8km.
The house is surrounded with a big private lake. You can fishing or walk around the lake.
A big terrace goes over the water where you can have lunch or dinner.
1 Large living room with open fire, 1 kitchen full equiped,1 dining room ,5 sleeping rooms 2 with own shower and toilets and a bathroom and shower to share upstair. It's also possible to rent a little lodge in an old boathouse for 2 person.

Nice and relaxing stay with friends. Place for 10 persons is really th maximum. on line was an 'hut tup' but this is just a bath in the house .

What a beautiful spot!

What a beautiful spot!

We stayed here for two weeks and found the house to be very comfortable, clean, spacious and well equipped -our only negative comments would be that there are no facilities for drying washing and very few mirrors. The caretakers were very helpful. The setting was beautiful - a lovely lake, with no other houses on it, so a very private place. Lots of wildlife and a lovely short walk around the lake. Cul des Sarts is the nearest village and it has good facilities - excellent small supermarket, bars, cafes, bakers, hairdresser, etc. Chimay is well worth visiting and Rocroi is a nice place too, but this isn't a touristy area. If you want a peaceful few days in a glorious place, this is for you!

Loin du tumulte citadin, un véritable havre de paix. Située dans un cadre splendide cette belle maison confortable et plein de charme, au bord du magnifique lac offre un vrai retour à la nature. Pesronnel au top. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour ressourçant. 😊

Nous avons passé un long week-end de l'Ascension qui restera, pour toujours, gravé dans nos cœurs et dans nos mémoires. Un cadre idyllique, une maison pleine de charme, très bien équipée et très agréable. Nous avons profité de l'étang (pêche, balade en barque, baignade...), nous avons fait de très agréables balades dans la forêt et les alentours (la région de Couvin est très jolie et possède de nombreux atouts) Nous voulons décerner une mention toute particulière aux personnes qui nous ont accueillis, Mr et Mme Lambert, qui nous ont reçu avec une très grande gentillesse et serviabilité.

Moin, moin wir, das bin ich, mein Mann, meine Mama und ihre Freundin besuchten Cul des Sarts im April 2010. Die Gegend ist sehr idyllisch und ländlich. Das Haus ist mit seiner Terrasse, mit seinem Mobiliar und den eingezäunten Grundstück ein wunderschöner Ort zum Erholen. Jedoch sind um das Grundstück herum viele Wälder, die aber Privatgrundstücke sind. Jedoch bietet das Grundstück Möglichkeiten kleine Spaziergänge zu erledigen. Im Umkreis ist viel weites Land und der nächste Ort für Einkäufe ist Couvin, man benötigt hierbei immer ein Auto. Die Schlüsselübergabe geschieht über eine französische Hausverwalterin, sie ist sehr nett, aber versteht nur französisch. Es war sehr schön und erholsam....für Angler ein Traum, da alle Utensilien im Haus zu finden waren. Liebe Grüße Familie Essmann
