Better vibe in Brisas

Staff was nice

Location was very touristy. Better vibes in Brisas for same money. Surrounding Noise is loud on weekends (nightclubs nearby).

Friendly staff and delicious breakfast every day. Everyone was happy to help. The pool looked great even though I didn't use it myself.

I love Zicatela

Excellent location. The area is very pleasant. The breakfast is fantastic. The bus station is very close.

Unfortunately, the building is under renovation, so they are constantly working. At the reception they only give you a beach towel if you hand over your passport. This is very unfriendly towards the guest. There is a disco next to the hotel, where loud music is played at night from Wednesday to Sunday. The room rate is very high compared to the services. The free wifi is useless.

The location across from the ocean is fantastic BUT we couldn't stay in the ocean view rooms because the NOISE was unbelievable!!!! No peace & quiet here! Disco 9pm - 3am & then noisy renovations. We had to move!

NOISE! NOISE! NOISE! Disco was so loud that the furniture in the room was shaking from 9pm-3am! Construction renovations start at 7am -4pm, hammering, drilling, banging, sawing, NOISE, NOISE NOISE!

Nice place to stay would have been perfect if the water worked and not so much hammering right below the room we were in

It was clean, everyone was friendly and helpful, great customer service, food was good at the restaurant. The pool was nice.

They were working/remodeling/ plumbing in the room below us. We were told there was going to be noise but I thought it was going to be outside noise not hammers and saws, the water was turned off for most of the day, we were not told that. I’m a heavy sleeper so the noise wasn’t a big deal for me but I think it would have been nice to be told that was going to be an issue along with the water being shut off. No toilet water, no way to wash your hands and because we were not told the water was going to shut off it came as a surprise.

Great breakfast, super friendly staff

I had a great time, breakfast was great! The staff was friendly and willing to help at all times. There are some great bars and restaurants right in front of the hotel. Couple.of disclaimers Zicatela is not a beach to swim, however there are some great beaches to swim 10 min or less by taxi. Also, the hotel is in a busy street at night so if party noise bothers you this might not be the place for you.

Everything was very nice. Loved the pool , breakfast was amazing !!!! Very centric from all the bars and restaurants . Vey good price ; payed $190 USD for 5 people , free breakfast and 3 beds X night.

didn't like the fact that there was no elevator. My mom had trouble getting up and down. Not a huge problem if you are young and healthy.

Absolutely loved the property. The pool was great, the location was perfect, the staff were really friendly and the breakfast was amazing (good portion sizes).

Amazing stay and I would do it again!

This hotel is amazingly located in front of Zicatela Beach and close to all possible restaurants. Rooms are nice and have AC in them which is a PLUS considering how hot it is. The pools are amazing and the couches and chairs around are plenty. I had no noise complaints to give but I did travel and stay during the week and not weekend. The staff are super accommodating with whatever you need and try to help you as much as possible even with the simplest or things. The breakfast included in the restaurant up front by the beach has amazing views and is a must as they do have 3 different restaurants owned by them so you do get options! The breakfast is greatly portioned and well worth it for it to be included in price. Overall I had an amazing time here and will definitely be going back in the future. Only 12min from the airport too by taxi!

too noisy. There was loud music every day. My family could not have even a good night of sleep due to loud music and loud guests hanging out by the pool after midnight. One window frame fell off when I tried to close it to reduce the noise.

Great place for families

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room, linen, and towels were clean. Room was cleaned every day. Nice big, smart tv. AC worked great. Lots of families stay here so definitely not a party place if that’s what you’re looking for. I never had an issue with the noise from the street because my room was in the back, but those with an ocean view beware.

Wonderful stay at a beautiful beach destination.

The staff was so great. Very helpful and friendly. Great location and amazing views from our top floor room. The on site restaurant had a wonderful breakfast and we ate there almost every day.

The big dance club across the street was super loud and they stay open pretty late. I didn’t mind so much but others would probably find it frustrating if they tried to sleep.

The staff are really nice and helpful, the rooms are good size and have great air circulation. The restaurant serves AMAZING food for a great price. The wait staff is also kind and quick!!

WARNING BEWARE: the owner is running some type of scam where he tries to charge children under 5 for their breakfast that is supposed to be included! I had my 3 kids with me and he tried telling me that since my two under five were "free" to stay that they had to pay for the breakfast that was included with our stay!!! Took me two days and two phone calls with Booking.com to sort it out...and of course the kids breakfast was included!!! So be careful of the scam!!

the location was perfect, helpful staff, and a very good breakfast (surfers one particularly good). room was huge.

not because of the cost but breakfast should include a free juice. spoils an otherwise tasty breakfast. rooms at the front noisy because if the clubs. despite we had pay for a sea view we decided to move to the back of the building to sleep better. toilet and shower room need some work to modernise. lack of providing shampoo.

we got an ocean view room and from 10 at night till 3:00 in the morning every day music played across the street so loud we couldn’t sleep. The owners of the hotel also own the nightclub across the street and allow this to go on. I don’t understand how they could care so little about the comfort of their guests!!!

a really enjoyable stay

it was amazing, so clean, huge pool, rooms were lovely and big and the staff were so friendly and helped us with any questions we had. there’s a fridge in the room as-well which was really handy to have for snacks and drinks. they also were able to help us book an early taxi to the bus station with no hesitation

the food in their restaurant was a bit expensive and not really worth what you got so we only ate here once

Amazing staying in Playa Zicatela

The staff was very friendly and advised us on prices, tours, etc. We arrived earlier and since our room was ready they let us go in without any problem. The breakfast included was very tasty and the view amazing.

The shower had a very strong sewer smell.

Needed more staff on at reception. Some very noisy guests and screaming children. Noisy if have street-side room, but that's the same with all places in Zicatela. Was a little hard to find at first because just looks like a restaurant and the name of the hotel is not at street level. It's not really "bungalows", more like a hotel complex.
