On the plus side, this is a cute little hotel located minutes from the beach. The staff was friendly and efficient. The room (with AC, thank god) was great even though the kitchen was a bit dated. There’s a great covered market with restaurants 10 minutes away.
On the less fun side, it’s a bit in the middle of nowhere and renting a scooter or getting public transports is the only way to get to el centro or to Punta. A retired couple from Canada thought it was ok to bring all their friends and family and squat the swimming pool while getting drunk and very loud, every single afternoon, with no respect to the other guests at all. Not the hotel’s fault per se, but it would have been nice to put a limit to it. Last but not least, a second floor is being build above the main building. Expect some hammering as early as 8am…
