Econunay Hostels

Breakfast was great, the hostel is quite sociable, volunteer staff were lovely. There are organised activities every day. I arranged my Colca Canyon tour through the hostel and it was reasonably priced and the tour was good.

Would be good to have more places to hang towels and dry clothes as there isn't really anywhere. And the individual chargers by each bed only work if the light is also on, which seems wasteful.

People were nice We had a salsa class

The room had a bad smell for all the 4 nights that I stayed and we had to constantly open the room and was very could. Breakfast not enough for all the people some of the days

The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen had all that was needed, staff were all nice, bathrooms were clean and hot. Outdoor area was great for relaxing. Upstairs view is insane!!

Location was good, and the rooftop had a nice view. It’s nice to have a kitchen to use too. Bed was comfortable enough. Nice to have space to hang clothes.

The property needs some serious TLC. It is very tired. It was also absolutely freezing cold. Private rooms appear to al be on the ground floor around the common space and kitchen, with the windows facing into this space, meaning you either have privacy or light. Being on the ground floor also made it very cold. Not sound proof at all either. The staff were nice but not the most helpful. We had to check multiple times that we were confirmed on tours. We also were only told we had to pay cash for our colca trek at 9pm the night before once we got back from our day out, so we had to go back into town to get cash out. We found this really annoying because they could have just told us when we booked that it’s cash only for tours. We don’t walk around with 500soles in cash and needed to bring extra cash for the stuff not included in the tour. And generally prefer not to get cash out at night.
