Crayfish Cottage, Portrush: Spacious, stylish, seaside cottage 2 minute drive to the East Strand Beach and Portrush Harbour. Free-WIFI, wood-burning stove, super-comfy beds, two separate lounge areas, family-friendly (cot, toys, dvds, family games and jigsaws etc), "secret" garden, patio and BBQ area, private off-road parking, brilliantly-equipped kitchen and utility room.

Built in the 1930s, Crayfish Cottage is a traditional seaside cottage packed with beautiful art deco features, but with all the comforts of a careful, modern restoration.

Sleeping 6 - 2 double bedrooms (downstairs), 1 twin bedroom (upstairs). Each bedroom offers crisp white sheets and snuggly duvets. The family bathroom has a shower, separate bathtub with fluffy towels and complimentary Faith in Nature toiletries. The fully-equipped kitchen leads to the dining area. With a washing machine, tumble dryer, full height fridge freezer and storage space there is plenty of space for drying kit in the utility area.

Deep armchairs and sofas surround the wood-burning stove in the lounge . The Reading Room on the first floor is a place to relax, read and play games. With a twin bedroom just opposite, this makes a brilliant top floor hang-out for younger guests in the family who get to enjoy their very own space.

Downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms makes this property suitable for older guests and those with limited mobility (apologies - no wheelchair access).

There's plenty of outdoor space too with a lawn area at the front and a secret garden to the side with BBQ area and picnic table creating a magical space for sitting under the stars.

Crayfish Cottage is a two minute drive or a fifteen minute walk to the heart of Portrush town right amongst favourite restaurants, bars and shops.

A beautifully well kept and spacious property, 5 of us, across 3 generations (including 2 teenagers) found the property welcoming and the location excellent. The description and photos are accurate, the host is great with communication and there is loads to see and do in the area and further afield. Would definitely stay here again.

On a quiet street about 10-13 minutes walk from the town centre lies this gem of a cottage. We were three couples and it was perfect. Clean and comfortable with all the amenities, it was a perfect spot to walk into town to the beach, golf course and great pubs (Harbour Bar!). Nicci was a great host and was very easy to communicate with. This is an amazing place and we will be spreading the word!

We really enjoyed our stay at Crayfish Cottage. Walking distance to beach & town centre but on a secluded road with little traffic. Mins by car to White rocks beach - perfect for sand dunes, long walks & swimming. The cottage was well decorated, comfortable, plenty hot water, kitchen well stocked with utensils- we are vegetarian so we cooked a bit at the cottage & had what we needed. Lidl walking distance away for anything we needed. Nearby spar at Maxol petrol station also had great selection of food/snacks. The garden was loved and well tended and a secluded space on the property. The reading room upstairs provided privacy when needed. Recommended property for exploring the North Antrim area.

We had a wonderful visit at Cray Cottage! The 1920’s era property is has been beautifully modernized for the 21st century. It is in a great location, close to everything in and around Portrush. Close to White Rocks Beach and convenient to Giant’s Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede, the Dark Hedges, and so many other great destinations along the amazing Antrim coast of Northern Ireland. Nicci, the owner, was super to work with. The house had everything needed for a memorable vacation. Would definitely return.

Lovely bungalow in a good location for the Causeway coast. Easy access to the Giant's Causeway and Carrick a Dere rope bridge. Beaches in Portrush are divine and great to walk along. Portrush itself has a good selection of shops and cafes. Booking was easy and Nicci is a lovely host, showing us how everything worked and advising on things nearby.

Crayfish cottage is a great place to stay in Portrush. Nicci is a charming and thoughtful host; we enjoyed meeting her when we arrived. The cottage is clean, lovely, and well equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed the large kitchen, comfortable bed, and cozy reading room. The location is perfect -- a short walk into town for dinner or a walk on the beach, and a short drive from Giant's Causeway and other attractions. There is a Lidl supermarket nearby as well. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time staying at Nicci’s cottage. The cottage is so cozy and beautiful. It was extremely clean and well taken care of. Nicci has thought of every possible comfort for her guest. We really enjoyed the short walking distance to the beach and the town. We were able to walk everywhere even to the market. The cottage was sunny and quiet , the birds were singing in the morning and the garden was just beautiful. The cottage looks gorgeous on the pictures but it was even more beautiful in real life. I could see myself spending a whole year in the cottage. The town of Portrush is really great and very fun for both adults and children, and the neighboring town of PortStewart is also very beautiful. We were able to drive and see all the local attractions within 15 minutes from the cottage. We really enjoyed our holiday. Nicci was very easy to reach and very quick to respond to any questions. The kitchen was very well equipped and the pantry well stocked if you need to make a quick meal. and Nicci was so kind to leave bread and milk for our breakfast.

Crayfish cottage was the perfect repose for our family vacation. The cottage was immaculate, with plenty of space for 2 teenagers and 2 adults. It was on a nice street that was within walking distance of several restaurants and a grocery store, plus it had a washer and dryer which is always great to have on vacation. Nicci even provided milk and a yummy loaf of bread. The backyard garden was a nice little sanctuary for a picnic and there were many attractions in the local vicinity including Giant's Causeway, Dunluce castle, Bushmills distillery, etc. We all loved our time there.

The cosiest cottage we have ever stayed in!

I stayed at Crayfish Cottage for 2 nights with 2 of my friends who had flown over for a girls' weekend. The 3 of us have almost 3 year old toddlers so we were in need of a break to escape! Nicci met us on arrival and showed us round the cottage. The pictures do not do this place justice! It is beautifully decorated, luxurious and truly felt like a home away from home. It was equipped with everything you could need and more! We didn't have our children with us however there were toys, a stairgate and a high chair available if required. There was milk in the fridge, tea bags in the cupboard and a lovely wheaten loaf waiting for us. There were dvds, board games (which we thought was a brilliant idea!), books and even magazines there for us to use. Nicci has clearly thought of everything and has gone the extra mile to make her guests feel comfortable. I would highly recommend this property to just about anyone, be it a couple, a family or a group of friends like we were. It really made our girls' weekend that bit more special. In fact, we had planned to go out for drinks on one of the nights but we didn't because we just wanted to get home and cosy up on the sofa in front of the log burner! In summary, this property is an absolute gem and in close proximity to the centre of Portrush yet on a quiet street. It is the perfect base for anyone wanting to tour the beauty and sights of the North Coast. Thanks for having us Nicci, we'll be back!

The cottage is so charming! We would start our day with breakfast in the fragrant English garden, then head out to explore the sites , come back for dinner , watch movie in a cozy room ( or watch sunset on the beach!) and end the day with sleep on the comfiest bed and softest pillows ! Only after leaving this cottage and having to stay for remainder of our vacation in a different one i realized how much thought about guest's comfort did Millar family put into making this cottage available . From personally greeting us and showing around the house (few things were different from how it is in the States , so this was really helpful) and also letting us know what attractions are nearby, to having beds and pillows so comfy ( really appreciated after long day of sightseeing), to covering eastern bedroom window with heavy drapes so that early rising sun does not wake you 5am, to keeping lovely garden in the backyard that makes you feel like in fairy land, to even little things like USB outlets so we can change our electronics and having DVD player so we can unwind with a movie , and definitely Wi-fy was a big plus so that guests visiting for the first time like us can research all the places of interest and hours of operation and such. Cottage is very clean, has beautiful decor , kitchen has everything any family would need - we not for a moment fell any discomfort or that something was missing. Location of cottage is also perfect - so close to the beach and downtown , so it was really easy to just get out after dinner and go watch sunset on the beach. We had enough attractions to fill our 12 day visit and all were withing 15-45 minutes drive from Portrush .

Crayfish Cottage was a wonderful, cozy base for our stay on the Causeway Coast. We loved the brightness from all the windows, and the furnishings were very comfortable....it really felt like a home away from home. The kitchen was one of the best equipped I’ve ever seen in a rental. Nicci & Jonny we’re excellent hosts and very attentive. I especially loved the secret garden and my little hideaway under the eaves. Perfect rental, just wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended!

A beautiful property, very thoughtful decoration in a nice residential area of Portrush.

The cottage has been beautifully decorated and the garden is so charming and inviting. We found the location excellent for visiting all of the Causeway and the Glens. It would have been nice to have a chest of drawers and some shelves in the front bedroom as we found it difficult being on the road for over 2 weeks with big suitcases. As I am very short I found the shower difficult. Was wonderful to have a washer and dryer. All in all we found it a cozy charming house to come back to after a day of sightseeing.

The cottage is very well equipped and very clean and tidy. It is cosy and the beds are very comfortable. Portrush is within easy walking distance and we travelled around easily from the location. The garden is a bonus but unfortunately, the weather was not really for sitting out in.
