About this cottage rental

Rhiwlas is a charming self catering cottage, positioned on the banks of the River Colwyn, in the heart of the picturesque village of Beddgelert in beautiful Snowdonia. It's riverside location allows you to relax on the private patio and enjoy the views over the river towards Moel Hebog. The location of the cottage makes it ideal for you to explore the area, including the mountains, coast, beaches, forest and castles. It is not far from many of the routes up Snowdon. You can walk, bike ride, horse ride, climb, canoe, sail, play golf, fish or just relax. The historic harbour towns of Caernarfon and Porthmadog are close by and are linked by the Welsh Highland Steam Railway which stops at a station in the village, you can take ride through the dramatic scenery of the Snowdonia National Park, with children traveling free. The village of Beddgelert has a number of pubs - some of them dog friendly - cafes, tea rooms and shops offering local crafts and produce. It also has an award winning Ice Cream Parlour with attached pizza place where you bring your own wine no corkage charged. Most of the pubs serve food and at the height of the season the cafes/bistro serve breakfast, lunch and evening meals. Amongst the other amenities are a post office and well stocked general store.

One of the most wonderful places I've stayed in. Took my Mum for a mini break. The cottage was perfect for us. Very comfortable and cosy, and had everything we needed to make the stay just right. The location was stunning! The river was so relaxing and we even saw a cormorant that stayed in the same position for a full day. Thank you, I hope to return maybe with my Mum again or my husband.

Had a lovely late September stay. The cottage was cosy and had everything we needed for our little family break away to explore Eryri. Parking outside the cottage was never an issue and with the heart of the village just a few minutes walk down the road, the location next to the gently flowing river Colwyn was tranquil. Thank you Lynn for being a great host.

We had a fantastic stay at Rhiwlas. The cottage was immaculately presented and thoughtfully equipped, and the location on the banks of the River Colwyn is stunning - lovely to sit out on the terrace for breakfast or an evening drink. Lynn is an excellent host and has clearly thought of every last detail. We look forward to retuning next year.

Simple but well appointed, clean cottage perfect for a family of 4. The river behind the property was a lovely feature and a 5 minute walk into the village for the shop, coffee shop or ice cream. Great location to explore snowdon or lots of the surrounding Moel’s, abergaslyn falls is a lovely walk.

Rhiwlas is small but perfectly formed. It has everything you need especially in the kitchen and the biscuits and milk left for us was very welcoming. We had a little trouble with the shower but Lynn had it sorted within the hour. Impressive! The location on the banks of the river is lovely and the easy walking distance into Bedd Gelert is great. We always managed to find a parking space outside. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beddgelert is the prettiest village in north Wales, and this property is beautifully located along one of the rivers. We were very pleased with the rental, and Beddgelert made a perfect base for hill walking. Several hikes started out our front door. The electric charging for our rental car was also conveniently located <1 mile up the road. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay, the river is your backyard and we slept with the windows open at night to listen to the nature. Location is fantastic, it was quiet, clean and nicely appointed. Lynn was an excellent host. I would definitely stay here again on our next adventure to north Wales.

Very nice little cottage, perfectly situated for access to the beautiful village of Beddgelert. Thoughtful provisions in the cottage. Nice outdoor area that gets the evening sun. Only downside was parking, as most days we could not park outside the cottage and had to park further down the road.

Lynn was an amazing host and very accomodating. The cottage was a magical experience especially BBQ on the deck by the river. The village has plenty of activities with some pretty amazing sightseeing not to far away. CONWAY CASTLE is a must we loved that experience. There is so much to do so spend some time planning activities like hiking trail running water sports sightseeing, as theres a lot to do

Thank you Lynn for a lovely stay. Beddgellert is beautiful and peaceful and we picked a great week to stay. Mid May had beautiful weather. The property was clean, the beds comfy, the position perfect and the river scenery from the back deck was great. We enjoyed sitting outside in the afternoon after sightseeing all day. There were basic supplies which is a nice touch as well. I hope we get chance to visit again, i couldn't think of anywhere better. 5 stars.

We had a wonderful weekend in the cottage. It is in an excellent location backing onto the river, within walking distance of the village. The property is clean throughout and and has all the required amenities for your stay. It was the 3rd time we have been to Beddgelert in the last 2 years and we hope to return soon.

Lovely cosy place to stay right on the river and with views over the mountains and steam train line. Nicely warm with plenty of heaters, despite the snow. Dog and family friendly. We were all happy. Host quick responses to queries. Thank you. Two things we were not expecting: we had our dog with us and the nearest patch of grass was across the street about 20 yards away. This was tough in the middle of the night! And there was no phone reception in the area which was a challenge at check in when we struggled to find the house.

We used this as a base for doing the zip world adventures which are approx 40 mins drive away. The cottage is fantastic and so well equipped, extremely clean and in such a stunning location, right on the river. The split level outside area at the back of the property is lovely. This property is also dog friendly. Overall a brilliant place, we had the best time!
