Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Doggy extras. Enclosed back garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times outside of the cottage and garden (sheep country). No smoking. The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped, ensuring you have everything needed to prepare hearty meals. The lounge, with its comfy seating, invites you to relax and unwind. The cottage also boasts a delightful rear garden, where you can enjoy morning coffee or evening stargazing, as the village is in a certified ’dark sky’ area, allowing for a clear view of the night sky and stars. On a clear night the view of the sky is stunning, and the moonlight can be strong enough to provide light for a midnight trek up Snowdon. A gate at the garden’s rear leads directly to the popular, scenic Rhyd Ddu Path a few steps away, or alternatively towards the Snowdon Ranger’s Path, both offering exhilarating routes up Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon). There are numerous other mountain walks straight from the cottage, including Mynedd Mawr and the Nantlle Ridge, the Snowdonia slate trail, and walks on lower ground through the Beddgelert Forest, making it an ideal haven for hiking enthusiasts.

The surrounding area is rich withattractions. The Welsh Highland Railway running from Porthmadog to Caernarfon stops at the Rhyd Ddu station, only 150 metres away from the cottage, where you can experience a delightful journey on one of the WHR steam trains. Nearby, Beddgelert is a picturesque village, renowned for its stone cottages, charming riverside setting, and lush surroundings. The multi-use recreational path from Rhyd Ddu to Beddgelert, Lon Gwyrfrai, leads though a variety of landscapes offering fantastic views of the surrounding area. Beddgelert village is steeped in legend, including the tale of Gelert’s grave, and visitors can enjoy scenic walks by the rivers, welcoming pubs, and craft shops, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and history enthusiasts alike.

A short drive brings you to Llanberis, a charming village brimming with history and outdoor activities.
