T2 Apartment Old Village Vilamoura

Lovely resort, beautifully planted and tastefully designed. Access to 3 pools within the resort. Property is located within walking distance to Vilamoura marina (15-20mins). The property has a small outdoor space/ terrace with a dining table and 2 sun loungers, which was lovely. There is a dishwasher and a washing machine, which was helpful. There is a small Spa supermarket 2 minutes away as part of the resort. The hosts were really kind and let us have a free late check-out which was super- helpful and made our last day extra-relaxed.

The property itself is quite small for 4 people, but worked fine for us (couple with 2 teenage boys). All basics are there, but missing personal touches, such as a couple of coffee pods and a small milk as a welcome would be nice. The appartment is a little dated (looks in better knack in the pictures) - the paint is peeling from patio doors and some walls as well as the bathroom sink table. One of the patio doors was also a bit difficult to lock, so had to double secure with the shutters for extra security. No hooks to hang towels in the bathroom. There was a bit of an ant problem in the bathroom - we kept spraying daily. The beds in the twin room were really creaky and too soft, which meant one of my children preferred to sleep on the small living room sofa. The bedrooms are quite small with not much space for a large suitcase. The wardrobes were a bit old and musty and stuffed full of bedding (I presume for the colder months) and have a jumble of different hangers. Generally, the style is 'rustic charm'. The sliding bathroom door is thin and does not afford much privacy (toilet noises) - not so much of a problem when staying with close family, but could be awkward for less close travel companions.

Really nice little apartment, perfect for our stay. Well kitted out kitchen for the size of property. Excellent hosts who replied to all our questions promptly. Facilities on the Old Village site are great.

Would possibly be a bit cramped for 4 adults but was perfectly fine for us and our two teenagers.
