Well located, practical apartment for a short stay in Monterosso.

We booked last minute due to a train strike disrupting plans, and the apartment was an ideal stopover for us. Our host was very helpful with information regarding check-in and also local facilities, viz breakfast. Would be fine for self-catering - good facilities, but we were only staying briefly. Lovely soft towels!

The curtains across the large glazed front doors were a bit hard to close completely - and since the apartment is at street level we were slightly worried about privacy during the night!

The location was great!

Unfortunately many things let this apartment down despite its excellent position. We felt very disappointed for the price we paid. Firstly, even with the 2 dehumidifiers, fan and air conditioning turned on and the one window open this apartment has a terrible smell. It smelled like a mix of mould and sewerage. Secondly, the sofa bed (only master bed option)is incredibly uncomfortable. You can feel the springs and metal bars and it is impossible to have a good nights sleep. We ended up leaving earlier as we could not sleep. When I messaged the host to tell her she said that she would look to replace it, however on looking at past reviews, it seems she has had this feedback from guests for at least the last 2 years. The TV has only Italian Chanel’s, no streaming and is smaller than a laptop monitor. The Wi-Fi is very weak and doesn’t allow streaming from your own devices. Also the apartment gets no sunlight, and there is no where to hang the bath towels or your beach towels and swim wear to dry, which is not great when the beach is the main attraction in Monterosso. The amenities provided were limited, just shampoo and hand soap and no extra garbage bin bags etc. Having stayed in many apartments in Europe & Australasia and being Airbnb hosts ourselves, we would not recommend Albarola.

Great location in old town.

Location very good - loved the old town. Room was clean and as expected.

I would prefer a bed to a sleeper couch. Blockout curtains or blinds on the door would be a plus.

Great place for our family (2 adults and 2 small children). Great location. The place was very clean. It is not super spacious once you pull the bed out (if sleeping 4) but it didn’t bother us.

Amazing stay!

Lovely little apartment in the beautiful old town of Monterosso. There is everything you need in the apartment. The owner was very sweet, and we even extended our stay, because we loved it so much. Will definitely get back again one day.

It was a very good stay!

Kind host, always ready to help, asking if we want anything. Inspite of the central location comfortable and not loud. Registering and using keesy was a new experience for me. Once I had to get a help from the administration, they called me after a very few time, the guy was very informative and helpful.

Nice located, just around the corner you had all the shops and restaurants. All the good tips for restaurants etc received from the owner and the direct response by app in case of questions.

The check in by Keesy App, is time consuming. Would advise to do this before arrival and not upon arrival. The sleeping couch is too soft.

The location is very good and the host Raquel is super friendly and helpful! The apartment was quit big and had all the equipment needed.

The apartment had a bit of a musty smell and the fold out bed was unstable which made some noise at night when you turn.

Sehr gute Lage inmitten der Altstadt, aber starker Geruch nach Desinfektionsmittel

Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Vermietern, sehr gute Lage inmitten der Altstadt. Alle wesentlichen Dinge die man braucht sind da. Das Parkhaus ist in kurzer Gehdistanz, so dass man am Stadtrand parkt und dann in wenigen Minuten mitten in der Altstadt ist.

Bei Ankunft starker Geruch nach Chemie, da hatte wohl jemand es mit dem Desinfektionsspray übertrieben, um den Modergeruch zu überdecken. Im Bad teilweise Schimmelflecken, aber der Geruch nach Desinfektionsmitteln war einfach so stark dass wir nach einer Nacht umgezogen sind. Hierbei hat die Vermieterin sich sehr korrekt verhalten.

Appartement très petit, sombre et très humide. L’accès se fait directement par la baie vitrée qui donne dans la rue. Les déshumidificateurs ne suffisent pas à enlever l’humidité de la seule pièce et le linge devient vite humide
