The location was close to downtown and the apartment was large and comfortable. The elevator was a plus. access through the garage was helpful.
No one met us at the property but we found an employee who helped us navigate the lockbox and the difficult locks. The lock system was the only real negative about the property.

The location was superb, a very short walk into the centre of Funchal yet still reasonably quiet around the apartment. The kitchen and laundry facilities were very good, and made our stay a lot more convenient and relaxing. The living area was very spacious and comfortable, and the balcony was very pleasant to sit outside on at night.
There aren't many things to take issue with, but the shower was slightly odd and flooded the bathroom each time I used it. I will say however that I am quite large and it wasn't as big an issue for my wife who is half my size. Also the sealant around the shower is quite old and has gone black, but I realise that's quite a picky criticism.
