Posada El Azufral - Adults only - Smoke-Free

Posada muy bonita, rodeada de naturaleza y mucha paz. La habitación confortable, muy limpia y con una decoración muy bonita.

El trato recibido fue un poco seco. El domingo a la noche no sirven cena, preguntamos si podíamos traernos un bocadillo para cenar en el jardín y nos dijeron que no. Al momento del check out, tuvimos que resolver un tema laboral urgente, solicitamos pagar un late check out por 1 hora y nos dijeron que no. Es entendible por qué esperan otros huéspedes. Nos ofrecieron quedarnos en la sala, solicitamos desayunar y nos dijeron que ya no servían desayuno. Nunca nos informaron el horario. En síntesis, no nos sentimos cómodos, sentimos que molestábamos.

Veel nadruk op stilte, waardoor het geen ‘joie de vivre’ uitstraalt, maar dat is een persoonlijk gevoel.

Posada El Azufral is a picturesque and very quiet B&B located central in Spain's northern national parks. It's a perfect get away for hiking in the area and recharging yourself afterwards. The owners of the B&B are welcoming and take time for their visitors. Breakfast is very flexible, as you can decide how extensive you want it to be each day. And if you don't require breakfast for a day, you can just skip it. A couple of times we ordered a lunch package, which was perfect for a quick morning and to continue your own journey for the day. If the weather is sunny, you can also decide to go to the beach, which is 60-90 minutes drive from the B&B. Overall it was a very nice experience staying at this accommodation. All was clean, cozy, well arranged and delicious when it comes to the food served. It's central for going south, north, east, west, which is perfect for those who seek great hiking trails in northern Spain, those who sometimes seek a day at the beach and especially for those who love to be surrounded by peace and quiet.

We would've liked to have a hook on the wall to clip the shower head on, so as to shower a bit more comfortable while standing in the bathtub. This was missing when we decided not to take a bath (but it wasn't a dealbreaker).

Location was great. We also appreciated the balcony which we used as much as possible. Thanks to this, we could enjoy a small meal or a glass of wine outside.

The pillows were hard. Not a great sound insulation but everyone was trying to be very quiet. We didn't expect it but it would be great if people could do some cooking.
