To the southeast of the province of Cáceres, within the Villuercas Ibores Jara Geopark, is Cijara. Surrounded by the Cijara Reservoir, located in the biosphere reserve, at the foot of the Reserva de Cijara.
Formed by places of spectacular beauty, within more than 25,000 hectares. In a protected area that gives shelter to deer, wild boars, fallow deer, otters, eagles, lynxes ...
The vegetation is formed by forest and Mediterranean scrub, with areas of pine forests and eucalyptus.
