Overall a pleasant overnight stay in a Milan apartment

The instructions to get in the apartment were clear. It was clean and comfortable with plenty of facilities, such as for cooking. It's about a 15 minute walk to the nearest metro station.

The key was a bit fiddly in the lock, it often took me a few minutes to lock and unlock the door. By the time I left the apartment in the morning I had just about worked out how to open the door.

Disappointing

I moved from casa expo to casa Luca as there were no available room for me, this house may be cheaper than expo, and have a functional washing machine,

this house may be cheaper than expo, and have a functional washing machine, however , the power went off 2-3 times while I was taking shower . and both shower and sink doesn’t drain … which are quite confusing…

Good place but initially unhelpful host

The accommodation is 10 minute walk from Metro - very easy but just make sure you know which is the right exit. Nearby there is an excellent restaurant I Tri Basei. The small supermarket next to the entrance is very helpful.

Hosts in Italy are required to collect tourist tax. I got a message from the owner a day before arrival to pay it by bank transfer. This is quite difficult if you are travelling and have no or little wifi contact. The next day i managed to transfer the payment but it did not go through (it turned out that the bank technology was not working and the payment was delayed 24 hours). The owner demanded i pay a second time. This is for 18 Euros out of a 3 day stay that cost over 600 euros. He was refusing to release the details to get the keys unless i paid again, and was not very polite. Having already received my 600 euros (itself a lot of money for the accommodation!) this was not a fair way to respond. eventually after I asked if he expected us to stay in Central Station for the night he did release the code for us to get the keys. During our stay, the wifi did not work at all. This was supposedly a problem with the supplier, but it was not being fixed while we were there. The room is very good and its a reasonable place. It needs more and better pillows (they are foam and very uncomfortable) and large, better towels.

A few lights were broken and I couldn't cook at night. Easy to fix

Exceptional

Just a quick note, after 10 pm the hot water was not that hot/warm as during the day. Nevertheless, I don't expect the owners being able to inprove it as it might be related to the area/region wher its situated.
