Don’t drink the water?!? I knew that about Mexico, but Greece??

Our host was friendly. He kindly told us not to drink the water, but didn’t mention showering in it, and did not tell us why. There was a cute café, with a great view of the street and a lovely balcony. As well, there was a wonderful balcony in the room.

The water was non-potable (but did provide bottles for drinking) the host said don’t drink the water, but you can’t really shower and non-potable water. It’s not healthy. They should have disclosed that on booking.com. The bathroom smelled like sewer, gas, chipped, paint, and mold. Cannot recommend.

Nice cheap room for a nights sleep but nothing like the photos.

Location and price

I was looking for a really beautiful room, not necessarily a really cheap one. But since I found a good looking one (at least in the photos) at a good price, in my head that was a deal. Unfortunatelly the photos did not accuratelly depict the room. It was a really old building and the only renovation done was a poor coat of paint and of course the bed and limited furniture. Bathroom was old and paint was dropping from the walls. No tiles on the walls so your hanged towel was touching the dirty wall which had mold especially lower near the shower.

The room was spotless. Linen was spotless too, also of high-quality and well-ironed (although towels were a bit worn out, but thick and soft). Bed was very comfortable. The hosts were very responsive to messages and helpful.

The information displayed is misleading - the loft speaks of an apartment with 1 bedroom, however it is just a room (comfortable one) with a bathroom. The blind is broken (could only pull it down by hand, and then could not pull it back up), and the window is difficult to open/close, nonetheless for 1 night it didn't make a difference for me. I asked for an iron which was kindly providing by the hosts, but with no ironing board or even a table. Luckily, the cleaning lady was able to provide a small ironing board on the spot in the morning.

Not up to my expectations

Very central location

The rooms look much better in the pictures than in reality. What looks in the pictures as a cool wallpaper in reality is old, untreated wall. The bathroom facilities are old and not renovated. Someone will say that it is difficult or even not possible to change the original piping (fair enough) but why not replace the shower head with a new one? In general, I felt that the hipster aesthetic is used as an excuse for what i would consider a second grade establishment.

Had great time apart from the stalin's portrait in the lobby

Everything was fine, apart from the noise from the street. It's not the owners' fault yet one should be aware that one basically can't sleep with an open balcony door. The balcony is just fantastic.

There's no excuse for hanging a portrait of one of the bloodiest dictators in the lobby. We just couldn't wrap our minds why one would do it. Stalin wasn't even a leftist leader, just a blood thirsty tyrant. And the painting was a poor recent replica also, so it couldn't be justified even by its quality. Worst choice ever. Or blatant ignorance.

a cool spot in the city

The renovated building is elegantly designed, and the room sufficiently met my requirements. However, access to the third floor was limited to stairs, which posed a challenge due to a leg injury. Nikos recommended transferring to their sister property, Hipsters, which offers elevator access. After spending one night at Trilogy House, I relocated to Hipsters. I found no faults with Trilogy House; the room was spacious, located at the back of the building, and very quiet. Hipsters surpassed my expectations, having opened in November and providing superb accommodations. I look forward to staying there again during future visits to Thessaloniki.

The stair access at Trilogy House was the only issue for me as I had a leg injury and found the stairs difficult.

Convinient location to all the major sights, amazing restaurants and if you love shopping it’s the right street to be.

We had a very comfortable stay in the Trilogy House, Angelina ensured everything was to what we expected. The breakfast offered was a bonus and not only that the place where it is offered was top. Amazing food presentation and hospitality.

About the property, I would say the stairs leading to the apartments are rather narrow and quite dark, at first I felt worried of what to expect up in the suite. Our room was on the other side of the busy road, which made it a plus because the noise was simply zero and we had a good rest, however on one of the windows we always had pigeons which made noise, so we had to always remove the curtain and make them go away. The balcony needs more refurbishing as it was old and i would say rather dirty.

Disappointing overall—the space didn’t live up to the photos or expectations.

The location was good.

The place felt dirty and had an off-putting vibe. The photos made it look much cooler than it actually was. The walls were peeling—not the decorative part that’s clearly intentional, but the upper areas that just looked neglected. The toilet was technically clean but felt gross. There was also a very intense perfume smell in the hallway.

The design is excellent, the location is great in the center of Thessaloniki, staff was great and in general we really enjoyed our stay

The only problem (hence the reason why I cannot leave a 10/10 rating) is that the mattress was too small and was moving around a lot. Rather than that no other problem!

The location was fantastic. It’s close to the seaside and the White Tower, plus there are tons of cute cafes and shopping within close walking distance. The staff were super friendly and helpful. There is also a cool, eclectic bar/cafe in the building, which is a fun spot to hangout.

This isn’t something I didn’t like, because it was really fine for me (and the property warns about it). But If you come from a culture that always has elevators, it might be difficult/surprising to climb the building’s stairs, especially if you have a lot of luggage.
