About this chalet rental
The house is ideal for family groups. It is distributed as follows:
On the first floor there is an open kitchen, large dining room with sea view and terrace overlooking the sea.
On a lower floor there are two family bathrooms and three bedrooms.
On the second floor below there is an Studio/kitchenette/ Bathroom with a surface of 40 m2.
Situated 300 meters from the shops and services.
Wi-Fi. Satellite TV.
The plot area is 1.110 m2.
House especially suitable for families with children or two families together. The sutdio on the lowest floor allows great independence.
There are several terraces distributed in different directions that lallow for choosing shade or sun on any moment.
There is a large terrace with BBQ to enjoy outdoor meals.
From the living terrace there is a wonderful view overlooking the sea and the Medes Islands.
Tax on stays in tourist establishments NOT INCLUDED (€1 per day and person over 17 years old, max.7 days). Subject to variation according to current regulations.
From the ground floor there are stairs leading down to the street that gives access to the beach just 500 meters away and shops and other services which are only 300 meters away. Its location is ideal for maximum tranquility and allows not having to take the car.
The most attractive area of the coast is the small area around Palafrugell which stretches from Pals and Begur in the north, south through Fornells, Aiguablava, Tamariu, Llafranc, to Calella de Palafrugell. This dramatic coastline abounds with beautiful bays, coves and headlands, with sandy beaches washed by sparkling seas, and interspersed by glistening white villages, each very different, the perfect locations for relaxing holidays. The countryside has some wonderful timeless villages like Peratallada and Ullastret set against a distant backdrop of the ever present Pyrenees. Visit Pals, the walled medieval city; Bisbal famed for its production of ceramics; Torroella de Montgri with its Gothic palaces, courtyards and narrow streets nestling beneath the Castell de Montgri, and the spectacular gardens of Cap Roig. There are various markets to explore, vineyards to visit and slightly further away the Dali Museum in Figueres; whilst the vibrant city of Barcelona is less than 2 hours away.

We loved this house. The ocean view was perfect and the pool was wonderful. It had all the amenities we needed. We love the small town area with restaurants in walking distance. One caution is the 4th bedroom is a separate studio which smelled musty. We didn’t need to use it but I would recommend this house as 3 bedrooms, not 4.

House is great. Air conditionning in all room and working perfectly. Swimming pool very protected from external viewers. To be noted that sun on swimming pool is from 9:00 to 16:00 (sun hidden after 16:00). Shower and bathroom on main floor renovated and brand new. Internet ok with médium bandwidth around 3Mb

Nice house, wonderfull views, several big terraces, good exposition, quiet.
Lots of stairs for elderly people, kitchen equipment could be improved.

We had a very rough start to our stay - the house was dirty and full of ants when we arrived, we were told it had been cleaned and the ant situation "was part of living at the beach." Not having an alternative, and Mariona seeing the situation for herself - the house was re-cleaned ( dirty sheets in the closets, and ants climbing up the walls). We settled in. The house needs upgrades, in the kitchen the is refridgerator and dishwasher are old, the washing machine takes nearly two hours and there is NO dryer which makes washing towels an issue. Mariona did volunteer to dry the towels daily - which was very kind. The house beach towels are old and need to replaced and most importantly, it needs to be fumigated for ants - they were through out the entire house, kitchen, bedroom closets, we were constantly spraying.
The positives of the house are the beautiful views of the ocean, the lovely breeze, the pool is well maintained and great for a dip after the beach. The house is in a great part of Pals with the beach, stores and restaurants within walking distance.
We have rented homes all over the world and have never encountered these problems before - please note that once these issues were pointed out, Mariona and her team did everything to fix them and was available to help at all times of the day.
