Bed&Breakfast Vanni

We were really looking forward to this B&B because it looked very relaxing on the pictures. That said, maybe our hopes were too high. The garden and the terrasse are great and the host was nice. It is next to the sea and no loud street in between, that really is a plus. Also you can park conveniently on the property. Supermarket, nice beaches, restaurants, Nin, Vir and Privlaka harbour are only a few minutes away.

Now to the negative. There were a lot of mosquitos (beginning of June) and there were no mosquito nets. We needed to sit inside the room with closed windows after the sunset. We had the "mosquito-killers" that you plug-in (don't know how they are called) and opened the windows after midnight. We had 24 mosquitos in our room the first night which made it impossible to sleep before the morning and we were covered in bites. We also can't sleep with the A/C on and with the windows closed it got stuffy and too warm. Furthermore, the beach bar next to the B&B plays noticeable and sometimes loud music from morning till late in the evening, even on weekdays. In the morning construction work started, but fortunately it was not the whole day. We were hoping for a relaxing stay, but due to this, it was not relaxing for us at all, even though the terrasse was looking like the pictures. We left very early in the morning after our second night. Some minor negatives: The minibar was so loud that we unplugged it during the night, so we couldn't buy food or drinks that needed to be refrigerated. Shutters for the windows or an awning would be great (even with the black out curtains inside and the A/C). It lacks storage surfaces in the bathroom and the room itself and the small refrigerator "just sitting there" looks a bit odd. A small desk where it is put under would look better and would provide more space to put stuff. Given that you need to pay extra for the breakfast, it was a bit pricey compared to our other apartments and rooms throughout this trip.

+ Comfy beds. + Good quality furniture. + Spacious room. + Quiet area. + Nice garden. + Cleanliness. + Checkout till 11. + Closeness to the shallow beach. Actually it was too shallow for us, we commuted to Wild Rock which we recommend.

- Sea view is not a sea view but a possibility to see the sea somewhere among the buildings when you stand. Pictures are misleading. I've attached pictures what you see when you sit i the best spot on the balcony. - There is no private beach as they are known across Croatia. To get to the beach you need to pass local road. So in the end everyone can access the beach - and many people do that. It's far from secluded private beach. - Overpriced and overrated when compared to 7 other apartments we rented in Croatia in various locations. - Fridge every 6-10minutes makes a long sound similar to tank filling with water after you flush the toilet. - Absolutely disasterous Wi-Fi of which owner is aware of. If you need to do some work - forget. - First time since 50+ accomodations my driving license as a way to identify myself was rejected, and I've been told that if I won't give my personal id I won't be allowed to stay. If you are concerned seriously about your data security, take that into consideration. - No even a kettle. - No place to dry your clothes. - Very small bathroom.
