Great location and very nice staff.

Location was fantastic- near the promenade but also steps away from the centro . Nice rooftop bar, which was lovely for early evening drinks. The restaurant looked very nice, but we didn't eat there. The outside terrace was bathed in sun at lunchtime, so it would be nice to go there. The lift was very efficient.

Room a little noisy due to proximity to the cleaner's closet. In hindsight, I would also have tried to get a room with one large double rather than a room with two small doubles, but I should have spoken up at the time. I know its a signature, but the stripes on walls and ceilings are not to my own personal taste and could be a lot to take in for some people, sensory-wise.

Fantastic location, but other things let it down.

Perfect location.

The room wasn’t sound proof. We could hear people getting out of the lifts and doors closing all the way along the foyer! Not the best breakfast either, the food was always cold.

Comfortable hotel in a great location

This is a very comfortable hotel in a great location. It's on one end of the promenade along the Mediterranean, but only a 20 minute walk from the castle at the other end. The bustling pedestrian area is located only five minutes away, with its many shops and restaurants. The breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay here again on a return visit to Málaga.

A real treat

Great stay and will definitely return.

The hotel is spotless and staff are professional and friendly. Rooftop bar has beautiful views and although we didn’t use pool it looked small but clean. The rooms are beautiful decorated and towels fluffy and new. Location is fantastic.

A very enjoyable stay in a lovely hotel.

Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The location was ideal being opposite the port and an easy walk into the old town. The staff were excellent particularly Salva and Asier.

The room we were offered was pretty basic at the back of reception. That said we were offered an upgrade at a cost. Given it was a one night only stop we didn’t think it was worth it.

Below expectations

Location, room was clean and receptionists always nice and willing to help. Thank you for all the stuff efforts, they were visibly trying to support.

One week before the arrival we have been informed about works being done to the rooftop terrace, which was a major problem since it was not disclosed at the time of booking. They tried their best to accommodate a cancellation option or a small discount, which was the minimum they could do. We decided to stay with a promise of a great service. Real issue was the street noise around the room, the windows do not offer proper insulation hence our sleep could not have been worse. We basically left tired, pity of the nice room ( we booked junior suite) The other issue is breakfast quality and offering. This may work for a 2stars, at best. The variety, supply, always food missing and needing to wait as it is in the kitchen. Bread (one bread only) missing sometimes, same with eggs, everything massively undersupplied. No vegetables. In fact there is no restaurant just a breakfast room supplied by a small kitchen. It is a pity for such a lovely hotel, so well located, not to keep at least a decent breakfast - i left afterwards for another 4 star, i cannot even think to compare Hat they could offer.

An excellent place to stay in a wonderful city

This is a fabulous boutique hotel in the heart of Malaga. It is very close to everything we wanted to see-- art galleries, restaurants, shops, walks by the sea. But it is also really quiet, which we were surprised by and loved! The rooms are bright and spacious, and all the staff super helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again-- we have stayed at 4 other hotels in Malaga, and this is our favourite.

The breakfasts are fine... could have been a bit better, but they are the same as most hotels.. just not as good as the best breakfasts. 7/10 rather than 9/10...

Another lovely stay at this hotel

This is our third stay at Room Mate Valeria. We choose it because of the location, the views over the marina and the fact that the airport bus stops about 50 metres from the hotel. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

There is always a problem with connecting to the internet from any Apple devices, but the staff are aware of the problem and can get you online in a few minutes.

I feel that this hotel will become our go-to when visiting Malaga. Staff went the extra mile to make our stay as comfort

Location was great. Rooftop bar was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and helpful even managing to get our room ready early as we had a morning flight. Everything was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. Beds were very comfortable and we loved that breakfast was served all morning.

We were on 4th floor and at around 12-30-1.30am we could hear the staff moving and tidying bar above. Also we didn’t have a balcony in our room which would have made it extra special.

Breakfast was adequate if a bit limited on the hot items on offer. Location of hotel was very convenient and the rooftop bar was excellent.

The rooftop bar did not serve tea or coffee, at least on the evening we asked for it, and as stated earlier more choice of hot food would have helped in the breakfast room.

Amazing hotel

Rooftop bar was amazing. The bar staff were so attentive and really looked like they enjoyed their job. The location is amazing. Breakfast room was small but had everything you need and food was delicious. Hotel was impeccably clean aswell. Would definitely stay here again

Rooftop pool was a freezing cold plunge pool which is nice in hot weather but at the time of the stay I was pregnant and a normal pool would have been nice but apart from that everything was amazing at the hotel and we really enjoyed our stay

Excellent last minute stay, beautiful hotel, very comfortable and in an excellent location

We had to book a room last minute late in the evening as the Airbnb we had stayed in flooded, from the moment we arrived we knew it would be a very comfortable 1 night stay. We were booked into a twin room and the beds were extremely comfortable and the shower was divine plus we got to enjoy the rooftop bar which was great. Fantastic location and would definitely choose to stay here in the future.

Lovely small hotel with a great rooftop bar and sea views, just a hop, skip and a jump from the Old Town. Bedrooms very comfortable with a cool design and the quietest air-con I’ve ever experienced. Good breakfast and very friendly staff.

Would have been nice to have the option for breakfast on the roof, bit sad to have it in the basement with all the lovely views upstairs! Also a mix up meant we had to pay extra for breakfast for one of the guests in a 2 person room - would have been nice for that to be waived. Pool is tiny and freezing - but refreshing and a great place to hang out!

Nice hotel, mostly enhance by the kindness and efficiency of its staff.

Excellent staff, cordial, pleasant and good advice.

Breakfast was fine, not extraordinary but it was at 12€ instead of €18 so acceptable. The breakfast room is in a closed room in level -1, no windows. There is an enormous TV dominating one wall, silent but displaying images of the Room Mate hotels in Europe, ALL the time. This is useless marketing, overbearing on clients and a waste of energy. The swimming pool is just a small pond, enough to freshen up but it is not really a pool.

Perfect stay in Malaga!

Perfect location! 5 minutes walk from the old city center and maybe 10-15 minutes walk from the beach.

The breakfast was a little poor for a 4star hotel. I didn’t like that they had to few fresh vegetables . I did like the variety of fruits and I liked the coffee very much.
