apartment/ flat - with a large terrace overlooking the sea

Clean apartment that is all tiled floors. Two decent sized bedrooms, one bath and one pull-out loveseat. Small but functional kitchen. Door opens up right on the main street of the coastline that has stores and restaurants. Balcony had an amazing view. Air conditioning was wonderful at the end of a hot day. Giusi/our host was easy to get ahold of and always polite. Recycling timing was a little hard to figure out but it is great that it is getting done. Public beaches were beautiful but rocky especially the one near Isola Bella. Giusi had woven mats and sun umbrellas in the closet to use. Driving and parking in all the tourist spots was .... Chaos! Mopeds and bikes and people and cars everywhere! Bring your patience with you! We couldn't figure out how to rent a spot in the underground parking structure near the cable car (which is only 50 yards away) for the whole time we were there, though online said you could, so we ended up spending 30-40 euros each day to park there. One or two days that lot was full and we had to park somewhere else and one or two days we couldnt get the payment machine to take a credit card so we had to use euros. Maybe Giusi could help get a parking place set up in there if asked? Overall an amazing trip that you could do however much you wanted to do with a perfect home base at the apartment.

This place was absolutely amazing. Super clean, amazing location, incredible view. Giusi was so helpful during the whole process. Very possibly the best place you can stay in all of Taormina.

The apartment’s position offers the best of the beach and quick access to Taormina through the cable car. The view is superb. The air conditioning was excellent although we badly needed it as the apartment remained cool and the insect screens mean you can sleep with the windows open which is a bonus.

Guisi is a wonderful host who made us feel very welcome. She organised a taxi for us from the airport which was very helpful and then met us at the apartment to show us round and give us some information. She also left us fruit, water and beer along with some other snacks which was very welcome. Guisi was on hand throughout to help us with any questions and provided us quickly with a replacement sun chair for the balcony when one of them broke. Excellent location, close to both beaches, small shops and the cable car. We did have some issues with the shower leaking, which somewhat spoiled our stay, however I believe Guisi had this fixed after we left. Another issue we experienced was with ants in the kitchen, which there seemed to be no resolution for. Not a deal breaker and fairly common for the area but not the best. The apartment has all you need for a stay, with air conditioning throughout, a large balcony and plenty of space to prepare food.
