We had an excellent experience at Man Eaters Camp near Tsavo East. The location was one of the best parts of our stay—right next to the river, very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. Our room was also facing the river, and the view was beautiful. The food was another pleasant surprise. It was very much in line with the kind of food we normally enjoy, and everything was well cooked and full of flavour. At many local resorts, you sometimes find the food quite bland, but here the salt, spices, and seasoning were done properly. You could tell the food was prepared by someone who genuinely knows how to cook. The staff were extremely friendly, cooperative, and accommodating. We missed lunch twice during our stay, and they were kind enough to compensate us for it. They also gave us extra checkout time, which we really appreciated. Overall, our experience was excellent. The location, river view, food, service, and value for money were all very good. I genuinely was not expecting the place to be this good, and it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. I would definitely recommend Man Eaters Camp.

Incredible location right on the Tsavo river with views all round from the pool, restaurant, bar, reception and rooms. As we arrived, a herd of elephants were drinkng at the river. We also saw crocodile, hippopotamus, monkeys, birds. The rooms were comfortable, African safari themed, huge bed, efficient fans and a beautiful deck with chairs and sunbeds with a view over the river. The stay was really great value for money. The staff were incredible. From arrival to departure you were greeted and felt welcome. The restaurant staff in particular were super friendly, especially Gregory and a lady who was the Maitre De who's name I now forget. The hotel is only around 10 mins to the Manyani gate to Tsavo East. In the evenings you are escorted by one of the guards to/from the restaurant as there are no fences here and elephants and wild animals can potentially be outside your rooms. We loved this part!
Nothing. It was all good. There was a huge choice at the buffet breakfast, lunch & dinner but sometimes tasted all pretty similar. This was not a problem as it was always served with a smile.

We wanted to enjoy nature and wilderness for our kids in particularly. This place met all the requirements. We had all the comforts just being a few meters from a small river and we could observe wild animals in their natural habitat. The tent was perfect and the sound of the river was a perfect lullaby. I had the best three nights of sleep of this years (mom here!). Wilson the driver, Joy and Peter at the restaurant, even Henry the crocodile... Everybody was excellent. Our only regret is that we were not able to see the hippos (but elephants, gazelles, monkeys just from our room).
Traveling with small kids, we wish there were more activities for them nearby (only a small playground and the pool), however we were also pushing them to enjoy nature. For those who prefer some more comfort, their sister camp Voi Wildlife might meet the expectations. We visited that during our game drive, however we absolutely don't regret choosing Maneaters. It felt more like Africa rather than any other resort.

Maneaters is a good alternative for those who can’t afford to stay inside Tsavo National Park, location is good for Tsavo East and West. Tents are very nice and the balcony overlooking the river is great
beds could have been more comfortable and the doors didn’t close easily
