Awesome site at the Mara River and the hippos and crocs & monkeys just outside ‘your porch’. Beautiful surroundings and nice veranda. So nice to sleep to the hippos grunting and the hyenas whoops. Very well built and maintained lodging (and no bugs inside 👍). Chef Dennis was a master of superb grilled steak and fish. We appreciate that most of the staff turned up and gave us a surprise with a traditional Maasai dance!
It’s rather far from “the great migration’s” river crossing site, but doable. Be aware of the risk of extra park fees just to reach the lodge, take contact with the lodge how you can avoid that. The playing of music videos, even if we like the artists in other contexts, it’s not the place for it when you are in Mara to enjoy the connection to the wild, and hear the amazing sounds of nature - that’s the whole thing to dine at the river and its amazing creatures.

We stayed here for the Ultra MARAthon and the location couldn’t have been better for the event. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The view of the river and the hippos was also great.
The place was clean and cozy, but fairly basic considering the cost. However, it is the Maasai Mara so all prices are quite high.

La vista de la habitación hacia los hipopótamos y el río, la cama, la ubicación muy cerca de Mara North Airstrip. Habían muchos animales en los alrededores (girafas, elefantes, cebras, gacelas, jabalíes, monos, etc). La comida también era bastante buena y abundante.
Que el agua que salía del lavamanos era turbia, que pedí que me cargaran a la tarjeta más dinero para poder entregarle efectivo al Massai que nos habían ayudado, incluso ofreciéndoles pagarle un 25% más y tampoco me dejaron.

Staff were exceptional, Food was good and bed was very comfortable.Shower was also very good.Liked the picnic packed lunch option for the game drive into the Mara.
Lack of activities as rooms are minimally furnished, Only had power in rooms between 18:30 and 22:00 which is shocking.No drinks included in meals!!Swimming pool is too small

"We stayed here overnight with an early start to the Mara Triangle. Lots of game on the way in. Highly recommend. Especially as it is so expensive now for Foreigners to enter and camp in the Mara."
