Casa do Romezal

A lovely truly lovely place. We stayed in main house, our room was ultra comfy, clean with outstanding views. The veranda and gardens offered shade and a beautiful place to just sit …. and drink delicious wine. The pools were cool but so refreshing after a sticky sightseeing day, the lower pool was our favourite as has a spectacular view. We did the wine tasting experience with Luis which we thoroughly enjoyed and used his app self guiding us through the property…such a great touch. The pièce de résistance is the scrumptious breakfast Margarida presents every morning….we ate so much we were not hungry till dinner. Margarida’s so helpful making restaurant reservations and giving ideas for day trips, she definitely knows her stuff. We had a car and there is plenty of parking, the road up is a little daunting at first but easy once you get used to it, many guests used taxis and Margarida has a good connection with a reliable driver. We booked 6 nights and would loved to have stayed longer, it’s the type of place you want to tell everyone about but also want to keep a secret so you could always get a booking!

Nothing at all

Romantic location- Marguerite is a fabulous host who has created a special place to visit! Her recommendations were spot on

Extremely clean and spacious bungalow with amazing views of the rolling hills and vineyards. The bed was perfect and had some the best sleep in days!

Margarida was incredibly thoughtful, sharing excellent activity and restaurant recommendations while we planned our trip and making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The property and rooms were gorgeous, and her breakfasts were a highlight of each morning. She even made sure we had something to eat before our early train and helped us arrange taxis. The on-site wine and olive oil tour and tasting with Luis was an absolute must—fun, memorable, and one of the highlights of our stay. Two nights simply weren’t enough; we wish we could have stayed longer!

Nothing - it was the perfect stay!
