Our Stay at Oceano I’m from the United States, and the very first time I came to Jacó I learned a hard lesson. I found what looked like an amazing deal on Facebook—too good to pass up—only to discover I’d been scammed. Ever since that day, I’ve booked every stay through Booking. It’s the safest bet if you want exactly what’s advertised, no surprises, no games. That’s how we found Oceano, and it’s why my wife and I have been coming back for over a year now. She absolutely loves the place, and I’ve come to appreciate how consistently good it is. The rooms feel more like small apartments than hotel units—spacious, modern, and always spotless. The kitchenette makes longer stays easy, the AC is reliable, and the beds are genuinely comfortable. Every detail feels thought out. The pool area is one of the reasons we keep returning. It’s peaceful, beautifully maintained, and never overcrowded. Whether you’re swimming or just relaxing with a book, it’s the kind of space that slows you down in the best way. Breakfast is simple but consistently fresh, with a mix of local and familiar options. It’s the kind of breakfast that sets a good tone for the day without trying too hard. After being burned once, I’ve learned to trust Booking—and Oceano has earned that trust every single stay. Friendly staff, clean property, and a calm atmosphere that keeps us coming back. We’re already planning our next visit.

Beautiful place, space is great at the suites and the service is very kind. Parking is awesome

The room itself was very nice, spacious and the A/C worked GREAT, which was really important to us. The hotel is very pretty and appears to be well-maintained. The front desk staff were probably my favorite; they went above and beyond, smiling and happy to help with literally anything. The pool area was small but pretty.

The location wasn't great. I knew the proximity to the ocean/beach but the neighborhood felt run down although we never felt unsafe. The main street location with our room facing outward meant we heard every loud truck and motorcycle that passed all night. The free breakfast was 'ok'. It was a choice of generic plate options and no ability to request changes. Eggs and rice or rice and eggs eggs and avocado. We ended up eating the cold cereal option most days. But it was free so it wasnt a huge deal.
