Luang Prabang Manichan Villa

The location of the hotel really can't be beat - situated right near the morning market, night market and river! The central courtyard was a lovely place to have (a very simple) breakfast in the morning. The bed was clean and comfortable and the room had working AC (although very finike). An extremely affordable price.

I think given the reviews and pictures I was expecting a bit of a cutesy, 'vintage' hotel. I'd say in reality it's just quite old and in need of some upgrades. On the surface everything was clean but it did feel like it needed a good deep clean. The bathroom was in a bit of a state - broken shower head and holder. The shower screen (although surprised there was one tbh), toilet and basin all in a bit of a sad condition. I think if you can adjust your expectations (which I probably should've known because of the price) the price and location are very good. If you're after a bit more comfort, I'd look elsewhere.

Great Guest House, very well maintained and really clean. The staff is very friendly and professional. Super location. I highly recommend it.

L'emplacement est parfait, en plein centre, à proximité des marchés du matin et du soir, mais dans une petite rue au calme. La chambre est grande, le lit est confortable, et le ménage est fait tous les jours. Il y a une fontaine à eau en libre service. Le petit-déjeuner est bien, on a du choix. Le personnel est serviable, nous avons réservé un scooter avec eux et le trajet pour se rendre à la gare. Tout s'est bien passé.

Staff were pleasant , location very good, breakfast was simple but good to start the day.

AC didn't have a remote control, so any adjustments at night would mean getting out of bed to change the temperature or turn it on/off. Shower was ok but a new shower head would be good. Windows didn't close properly, on the ground floor this felt a little insecure.
